Not 100% sure on the gun laws as I’ve never had much interest in it, personally. I know you have to be licensed and can only use them for certain approved activities. Crocodiles are a protected species in Australia in any case, so no shooting crocs allowed. It’s definitely causing some debate and concern in Northern Australia with the croc population growing and they are moving into more populated areas where they have not been for a long time. More interactions between humans and crocs unfortunately means more risk to human life. For now we just have to respect their presence and be super careful but I think the culling debate is worth having. Thanks for watching 👍

Yes, it certainly is a slice of paradise and I can absolutely understand you wanting to protect it mate. However, I believe our beaches, rivers and creeks are for everyone to enjoy and as long as people aren’t breaking any laws and they treat the environment and other people with respect, they have just as much right to enjoy it as you. Our channel is about encouraging people to get out and enjoy our beautiful country with their family and friends and sharing some of the adventures we have as inspiration. Hey mate, it depends where you are fishing and what you are targeting. If you are fishing deeper water we use weights to keep the live bait down in the strike zone. If you are fishing heavy structure we put the weight on the bottom and have the hook up around a foot so that the bait stays up off the bottom. If fishing the surface or shallow water we sometimes leave them unweighted and that works as well. Thanks for watching and good luck with the live baiting! Let us know how you go.
