I have also noticed that you are pitting Luganda, the most widely spoken and understood indigenous language of Uganda, against Swahili, which is nowhere as close in popularity throughout the country. Do you wish that Swahili was as popular as Luganda in Uganda? It does not have a chance and there isn't a shred of evidence that it ever will. Moreover, where is your data showing that the "number of Swahili speakers in Uganda is going up." A self-made graphical sketch does not fool me. Nor does claiming that "adopting" Swahili in Uganda as one of the "official" languages makes it one. For your information, a language can only catch on if the people themselves think that it should, by embracing it rather than being "forced" to do so. Swahili, which is not indigenous to Uganda, has been rejected in the country for over 100 years and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Dictators don't last, people do. If the "majority" in Uganda "support Swahili language," as you would have us believe, why is the Museveni regime desperately trying to compel school children and government officials to speak the language, instead of leaving it up to them to decide? I have no doubt that the end result will be the same as before. Swahili is dead on arrival in Uganda. The sooner you admit it the better, instead of propagating lies.
