1:14 THE moment ratchet was my favorite character in the show

This was the culmination of an arc for Ratchet that I honestly think wasn’t fleshed out well enough. We saw glimpses of it like when the Omega Lock was first destroyed or when he was hopped up on synth-en. But I really would’ve loved to see a properly structured narrative of Ratchet slowly questioning if the Autobots priorities still matched his own regarding things like how efficient they’re being in foiling Megatron and how Earth’s well-being is valued compared to Cybertron

Megatron was having way too much fun messing with Ratchet

Other than the first couple Bayverse movies, this was the ultimate transformer series.

I think my favorite thing about Prime was that it was essentially G1, but modernized. The plot was better written, most returning G1 characters were recognizable at a glance, especially Megatron despite having a completely different alternate mode for legal reasons, the return of the two biggest voices from G1 really helped sell it and yet a part of it still has that charm that G1 has. This isn’t even coming from nostalgia. I started TF with The Unicron Trilogy and watched Animated twice before going back to watch G1 and Beast Wars for the first time. Made me appreciate a lot of what I started with a lot more since I saw the nods and references better and that knowledge helped make it even easier to love Prime.

I would have loved to see how Knockout and Breakdown joined Megatron. Like what goals did they have that aligned to his plan rather than Autobots. Knockout isn’t bad he just wants respect

Was hoping Ratchet would defect during this season. Out of all the autobots he was the most upset when Prime destroyed the lock and doomed their homeworld.

I like thinking the one bit of politeness Ratchet showed went a long way to convincing Knockout to joining the Autobots

Picking Brian over cartman is wild, with Brian he gets beaten up for every bad thing he does, while Eric still has moments where he gets away with what he did Scott free. Besides, Brian has some redeeming qualities as a person, Eric does not

The writing team did a really good job with the science jargon.

This is one of the only times we see politician Megatron, which is a shame as that was a big part of how he gathered such a large following

It's kind of sad, in another time and place these guys could had all been friends.

I kinda now wanna hear Frank Welker voice the High Moon games or Fred Tatasciore voice TFP

I like to think that singular "thank you" from ratchet to knockout did a lot of heavy lifting down the line.

Megatron is such a gracious host, showing his guest/energy around the best. Making them feel at home and showing respect

I love how Megatron doesn’t even try to pretend like he wouldn’t try to conquer Earth or kill Ratchet.

Yeah you can tell that Knockout is not 100 percent a con due to how much he appreciated the "Thank you"

Love how its not the classic "Bad guy tricks the good guy into helping them" shtick we're all used to. Ratchet knows full well that Megatron is trying to simply manipulate him. But gives in nonetheless because he has no other choice.

Just imagining what Ratchet and Shockwave could accomplish together, if they were on the same side. Maybe Shockwave would acquire some semblance of a moral compass, if put together with Ratchet over an Extended period of time.

I feel this Megatron was a lot more honorable than any other iteration…

I love that Megatron doesn’t even lie to Ratchet, just tells him straight up “You have no reason to trust me, in fact you’re smart to NOT trust me, but you do have an opportunity to save Cybertron”

Do I get why they have teeth in an out of universe sense yes but in universe what real purpose do they serve because I think I’ve only really ever seen them drink emerging in this series not eat it

At least Megatron is being honest, He's not saying that the fight is over and He will still attempt to kill the Autobots, but at least He's proposing Ratchet to create a method that could at least keep Cybertron unharmed this time. Megatron is not leaving the evil intentions but at least proposes a way to maintain the planet alive while they still fight

Shockwave must just be happy to finally have someone as smart as him around.

The best Megatron there ever was, and then there’s Bayverse Megatron who doesn’t even look like Megatron- a merely pathetic attempt at being “unique”

Megatron is evil yes but he a bit of his word, as much as he hated the autobots and even the humans he would’ve kept his word

One thing I like is that Ratchet doesn't fall for the obvious play Megatron uses with the picture of the human kids. We as the audience know Ratchet obviously cares about them, but he's wise enough not to let Megatron use them against him.

Christ can you imagine how much good Ratchet and shockwave could together if there wasn’t a war

Ratchet: "I might as well kill you" Megatron: "Nah lemme flex my tech"

Such a great show, they made Megatron actually smart instead of a regular power hungry warlord

Getting Frank Welker to reprise his voice as Megatron was one of the best decisions and such a genius move on the show runners parts. Even Jeffery Combs as Rachet is a phenomenal casting choice, his voice fits the character so well. The dialogue between Megatron and Rachet is so good here. These are two characters who have a personal history with Optimus but could not be more different from each other and only one of them stayed by Optimus’ side. You can feel the hatred in Rachet’s voice but Megatron is calm and collected, he is trying to rial Rachet up to get inside his head and it works. This is how you write Megatron Micheal Bay

I love that Shockwave is Rachet’s complete opposite yet he respects him, because he is a man of science and medicine. This is how a good villain is written, when they aren’t one dimensional and actually have layers. Shockwave isn’t just some lackey to Megatron, he is the smartest out of both the Autobots and Decepticons. He’s cold, ruthless and calculating, so much so Megatron made him his second in command and chief scientist.

I like the fact megatron is playing on the fact that ya this is maybe the one and only way cybertron can be revived and he is not denying any of the bad shit he has done or that he may stab him in the back but makes him fully aware that ya we do have a chance so work with us.

The really cool part for me is how this whole scenario is an homage to the old Marvel Transformers comics. Megatron approaches a frustrated & under-equipped Ratchet with honeyed words and contemporary technology, only to ultimately use him to strengthen his own troops. The people who made this show had a whole lot of love for the franchise.
