    Hi Amiit, first of all your dedication in creating these videos is truly appreciated. I disagree with your response to the second question. A stakeholder engagement plan proactively identifies stakeholder needs, anticipates potential resistance, and outlines strategies to maintain their engagement. By aligning stakeholder expectations with project objectives from the outset, such a plan can prevent situations where the team must reactively address user resistance, thereby avoiding the need for escalation. What are your thoughts?

    • @edzest
      @edzest 2 дня назад

      Hi, the question is not about avoiding the escalation, but about how to ensure team doesn’t spend time finding who could help once the problem occurs. Plans can help reduce the chances but never eliminate the problems. Just curious personally- did you use Chat GPT to cross check the answer?

I m using your videos for my PMP exam. really it is very clear and helping me to gain confidence. thank you so much for the great work. can you answer the below question Project acceptance criteria include on-site training for the new users of a system. Due to unforeseen circumstances, all team members have to work remotely for an indefinite period of time. What should the project manager do? >> Reschedule on-site training to online sessions. >> Create a risk and assign remediation actions. >> Cancel all of the on-site training sessions. >> Document the project issue and provide options. system answer is A . As the project manager is worried about the goals and direction, discussing the vision is a good choice. Conducting a workshop will be more effective than just informing the vision. Hi Amit, In question 4 the team already had several meetings anong themselves so doesn't that mean they tried to collaborate so i was thinking option A will be the answer.

    • @edzest
      @edzest 6 дней назад

      Hi, yes, they have tried multiple meeting a among themselves but couldn’t resolve/manage the conflict, hence now PM needs to intervene and help the team. The PM and team May then decide to manage the conflict through a compromise or PM directing a solution. So, compromise (A) will be dependent on PM helping the team (C). Hence, C is better.

    Q21. Adding or replacing words like suspects and observe doesnt seems a approach by PMI. better to stick to pattern of what is being asked

    • @edzest
      @edzest 12 дней назад

      Hi, it’s important for a PM to know whether the problem being discussed is a concern/doubt or an established problem. The actions that will be taken, will be based on that understanding. Hence, words like suspect and observe have huge role to play in PMP questions. Many projects fail because PM spends time solving problem that didn’t even exist.

    I don’t understand why option b is correct in your first question 1.11. Virtual Teams. You don’t have virtual team members yet so how can you examine their needs? Shouldn’t you get permission to change the resource plan and then examine the needs?

    • @edzest
      @edzest 9 дней назад

      Hi, the needs can be examined theoretically as well considering a need for virtual team. It’s not advisable to create a virtual team (send people to work remotely) and then figure out what they would need. When you request for a change, you would need to know and inform what type of changes are to be done. Here’s the sequence: - notice the need for change to remote working - examine/identify/analyse the needs of team members proactively - decide what would be needed - add those as a point to discuss - request for a change in plan - make changes to the plan - implement the changes - review effectiveness of the changes, and make further changes if needed.

    Task11 Question The best course of action in this scenario is: A. Request a change to the resource management plan to incorporate the use of virtual tools to replicate colocation in a remote environment. The question states that the current resource management plan requires "physical colocation" for communication and collaboration. Because of the pandemic, there's a need to shift away from physical colocation. Therefore, the most logical first step is to update the resource management plan to include virtual tools that can support remote collaboration, which is what option A suggests. On the other hand, B ("Examine virtual team member needs, investigate alternatives, and implement options for virtual team member engagement") assumes that virtual teams are already in place. But since the question doesn’t indicate that a virtual team setup exists yet, focusing on examining their needs and engagement strategies seems premature. First, you need to update the resource management plan to allow for virtual work and set up the necessary virtual tools. Once that's in place, you can then look at team member needs and engagement methods. when you do not have a virtual team until now in the question, how can you examine their needs!!!!!

    • @mgendreau1179
      @mgendreau1179 14 дней назад

      I agreed with you at first. Then I read it over and over. I think they tried to trick us with the words in the options. You should ask the future virtual employees what they need in order to request the change and get the employees needs approved.

    • @ezatullahahmadzai5188

      @@mgendreau1179 request for change here is to take approval for use of virtual teams/tools and not for needs. Once it is approved that we can have virtual teams, then we can collect needs

    • @edzest
      @edzest 9 дней назад

      Hi, in order to know what type of virtual tools will be needed and most suitable, it’s important to examine the needs first. It will not be wise to send the team to work remotely and then figure out what they need. Here’s the general sequence: - notice the need for a change to remote working - examine/identify/analyse the needs of team members proactively - decide what would be needed - add those as a point to discuss - request for a change in plan - make changes to the plan - implement the changes - review effectiveness of the changes, and make further changes if needed.
