This is a former Boston PCC Car ("Presidential Commission Car"), a classic streetcar that retired from service on Boston's Green Line, and now runs post-retirement on the Embarcadero Line along the San Francisco Bay. This is NOT a former Boston car-uncertain which city it originally ran in, but it wasn't Boston. All Boston PCC cars had an additional door on the left-side of the streetcar in order to operate in the subway. (The secondhand, former Dallas cars had 4 doors - two on each side at the ends). Also, all Boston cars had doors that opened (folded) outwards, not inwards, and the front dash and steps are different. Muni's website says that some cars are just painted in the liveries of various cities..
