Quick and easy spring recipes 2024 (Easter leftover recipes!)
SPRING RECIPES 2024
It is officially spring, thank goodness, and I have been using a lot more fresh ingredients in the kitchen. These two quick and easy spring recipes are golden; they come together in about 20 minutes and they both use leftovers as a main ingredient. I honestly probably wouldn’t have used the ham bone or the leftover mashed potatoes (they were a bit dry after a couple days in the fridge) unless I had these specific Easter leftover recipes.
I think that this year is an exceptionally difficult time to indulge in our favorite spring recipes. 2024 has unfortunately seen all-time high prices on groceries, and the first things to go up in price are those that perish most quick...

CHEAPEST MEALS IN 2024 | Authentic lentil-potato tacos with fresh salsa
Просмотров 977 месяцев назад
Allow me to present to you, your new favorite cheapest meal in 2024: AUTHENTIC LENTIL-POTATO TACOS. Before you knock it, let me up my street cred: I lived for two years in rural Mexico, and saw a lot of little-known Mexican dishes. These lentil-potato tacos would be classified as what you’d call a guisado, or a main dish/stew. Many little stands on the street would sell several different guisad...
CLOTH DIAPERS VS. DISPOSABLE DIAPERS | Realistic pros/cons & simple setup

CLOTH DIAPERS VS. DISPOSABLE DIAPERS PROS/CONS In this video, I discuss my experience with cloth diapers vs disposables so far. My cloth diapers vs disposable diapers pros/cons have honestly surprised me. I knew I was excited to start cloth diapering as an affordable option for my daughter, but the actual difference in cloth diaper vs. disposable cost was way bigger than I thought. My overall s...

Simple Sourdough for Beginners | $0.40/Loaf | Cheap Easy Sourdough Bread Recipe

When I started making sourdough bread, I found myself asking, “why is sourdough so complicated?!” If this is the method that’s been used since the dawn of bread, why can’t I find a simple sourdough recipe for beginners? Turns out, there ARE cheap, easy, sourdough bread recipes, but the internet is chock full of people talking about hydration ratios, sweet levains, and most recently, sourdough p...

Is there anyway to get around having to double wash the diapers or is that always required?

    • @WholeHomemaking
      @WholeHomemaking 22 часа назад

@@Ella-vated Actually if your baby is young enough to be exclusively breast fed, you can just toss them right into the washer! But I’ve found the two washes is key if your baby is into solid food.

I strongly recommend doing a cloth diaper in the newborn stage as well Newborns need diaper change 10-12 times every 24 hours The newborn diapers are so cute as well! I just did it, and my baby is 2.5 months now I have needed booster inserts recently as the baby pees bigger amounts, especially over night

I agree with others for not flushing those disposable liners. I don’t use them cause my baby is 100% breast fed and it all comes out of the wash no stains. I also don’t use them cause I feel it goes against my whole point of not using any waste. I also use cloth wipes. Both cloth wipes and diapers save a metric butt ton of money. I also use the pocket cloth you use, but I use prefold angel-wing with a Snappi closure and bamboo pocket insert laid in the diaper cover. She’s gone 8 hrs no leaks. I find that way of diapering to have the least leaks cause you’re full cloth and then the shell/cover has the double gusset. I’m sure you’re past the point of needing any of that, but I found that to be the best longer timed diaper. I will also use two pocket inserts if she’s going longer than 2 hours for the pocket diapers. So far, it’s been a breeze dealing with it, and Esembly’s laundry/diaper detergent has worked.

Thanks a lot for the comments! Yes, being 100% breast fed makes things so much easier. I appreciate the tips, too, I'm expecting our next baby in November and want to keep cloth diapering, even younger!

Hello! Of course! I'll try to remember! I used: -2 large potatoes -1/2 cup dry lentils -3-4 cups of broth in total I would say this made 4 good sized portions - so maybe double for a family of 7! Salsa: -4 medium tomatoes -1 onion -2 cloves of garlic -handful of cilantro Made a large store-size jar of salsa. Thank you very much for watching ❤

Hi, there are special diapers for night time, they’re fully made of cotton (and hemp, for more absorbency) then you just add a waterproof cover, and you’re done. You can also add boosters if you want, so you’ll get about 10h-12h without leaks. And don’t flush the liners, even when they’re biodegrable they won’t In water. If there’s no poop you can actually pu5 them on the washing machine and reuse a few times. 😊

We got a set of 12 of these same diapers (very gently used) for $25 CAD. www.amazon.ca/Start-Value-Pack-Double-layer-Waterproof/dp/B07YSB8P7K/ref=sr_1_9?crid=25EK5LVL3037C&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.6K_GIIWsoSy2Ikj_YqKlqHA9l2MnfBkF1Y0GUkRzerzspqjdEaAmBI4P672AEDcS0mb4Zss-BFjQHDHZUBiFpN8kHsS7-MQQzfPaJq53ap3883h5XiucKj5Q5-mM_N-LghhmFpL1ArXqRbKd1nv3huhimtx4Wo3BErHgKlYB3TElFiPvN9kV4JqIFsyYW4xoaONVMikDB00DPN4hD2bR5V70ObMYbWtV4pHFCEACtbwXXZGoRoE4vhap-8x8bhEUKjXQyPJHpV662XQWk3xSzhC6K7MuktdL9xWzgH7S_yI._8qEGCDGVsJk_66VjziqPrAqf8T3HLkSy3fu5j7SyBE&dib_tag=se&keywords=kawaii+baby+cloth+diapers&qid=1710544358&sprefix=kawaii%2Caps%2C108&sr=8-9 We use a *few different types of inserts* , they came from here: www.greenmountaindiapers.com/collections/prefolds-and-flats. I found the best ones are the "flats" - aka just a big sheet of absorbent cotton. They're very economical, and during the first few months of our daughter's life when we didn't cloth diaper, we used them as burp rags and they were the best I've found. I hope that helps!! Thank you for watching!
