Thrift with me!
Not all days of thrifting are exciting. To find the good stuff you have to go often. This wasn’t my best day of thrift finds, but I found a couple things. Most importantly I had fun!

Emily and Jaimie's Spanish Hunger Games Video
Yes!! Old nightgown fan here too!
Love this video !!🤩🙌🏻✨
Totally love old nighties too!!
Love this idea!!
@@abbiemarie19 thank you! ❤️
The plate with ribbons was a big NO for me.
@@BlueStars1364 agreed - would be a pain to wash is what I though! BUT could maybe be cute for just decor - with some different ribbon!
I also love old night gowns! I think it reminds me of my grandma's ❤❤
Smokey quartz perhaps.
Yes!
Not trying to be rude or anything but amber is really delicate on the mohs scale, the ring may be synthetic as real amber would crack and break very easily unless it has a clear quartz layer glued to help with durability
Definitely could be not real - I really don’t know but I still think it’s fun regardless
@@KyraRB an amber cabochon is sturdier than raw amber. We have an amber ring in my family that is absolutely real and it’s been in the family since the 1950s. It’s still pristine. My SiL still wears it when she gets dressed up. My mom did the same. My grandma did the same.
The little book is called a brag book. Good for pictures of children, nieces and nephews, or family pets. Carry in your purse to show off to friends.
@@Chaotic_Pixie I didn’t know that! I love it!
@ It’s what folks carried before cellphones full of pictures. It’s a really pretty and fancy one! My grandma carried a leather one with her monogram on it. Always had the latest school picture of her kiddos and her wedding photo.
omg the fish
3years i know people wait 50 years....
That's cool. 🤍
I love the meaning behind it. It's so heartfelt and you can pass it on
Because of you I got the dress for my reception dress❤3 years ago
@@positivepink4806 omg no way! I love that ❤️
That dress is gorgeous ❤
❤❤❤❤❤ i love the dress, the idea and the necklace.
Like the lamp & that bookcase + pink sofa!!
where is this dress from
@@raysbabysweet_7 it’s from Nadine Merabi - the Sadie White
This is a heirloom origin story. Now you have to name it, so 50 years from now, your granddaughter will say, "This is my grandmas_______ necklace. It's made of beads from her dress."
Omg so cute and creative!!
Love the two lamps in the beginning of the video
More designs would be cute! Maybe hearts on the back of the elbows!
Lovely
Cute
I love meaningful beautiful jewelry it’s just perfect 🤩
@justt_katee thank you ❤️
The lamp & I would have maybe painted it a Matt black
The golfer looks like King Charles
Yes or Bing Crosby😂
Give me some now
Those look so good!
Thank you!!!
Try kiwi 🥝 next
@@Kashish-y5m oh! I will! That sounds good

I have one thats signed. Got it years ago at a thrift store. I had no idea.
@@tiffanycolson3358 wow! That’s so awesome!
Retail therapy is a life long addiction so just be careful and keep practicing self control. What helps is establishing a bank account exclusively for your addiction. Feed the acct. from your primary account via a monthly auto draft in a reasonable & sustainable amount. Then, only spend a certain percentage of the “shopping” acct. and never touch your primary account (which is for bill paying only). If you can do this for a year, you will develop the skills needed to establish yet another acct. exclusively to save money for the things that are essential in your life (house, car, education, etc). In this way, you manage your self therapy over the long run and still achieve financial goals that are essential to a successful adult life of independence! Best of Luck
Hi Joyce, thank you for your concern and great advice. Please rest assured that I’m actually very frugal and more of a window shopper who prioritizes saving over spending. ❤
Where da rice go?
@@ChaseFrancis-ld9eg rice was in the bottom of the bowls before I filled them!
A stiffer dough, with less fat to flour will help cookies maintain their shape. Add a bit of flour to the mix, reduce the egg a bit maybe.
Girl, good on you for trying it! I’m actually Cajun, but my mama was adopted into an Italian family outside of Acadiana in Louisiana, and she never learned how to make it, and so I never learned how to make it. I ended up marrying a Cajun man, and I’ve learned so much from his mama when it comes to Cajun cooking, but gumbo is the one thing I’ve been way too intimidated to try and make. It is not an easy dish, and people are very very particular here with how they like it, and some will only eat their own family’s recipe.
Well then they are missing out on new experiences
@@magnolia31611 I was kind of intimidated to try it! But I wanted to because I love Cajun food so much!
@ oh, I will definitely try it one day, but with 4 little kids, I’ll need a little more time on my hands, lol.
@ ❤️
It would take my grandma a whole day so 3 hrs is good
It’s because the mix probably contained lots of brown sugar (when baked, it spreads) if you want textured cookies (or cookies where the design doesnt spread) try making sugar cookies
Omg an Obama has a cooking channel?! I hope Michella and Barack got a taste of this!
Thank you for explaining that this took more than 3 hours. It's sometimes discouraging for people who see videos that make cooking look extremely easy and not time-intensive at all so clarifying that this does, in fact, take hard work, effort, and time is really nice.
This is one of the most labor-intensive recipes I’ve ever made! My feet were hurting from standing so long! 😂
no way, are you related to obama?
Nailed it and love it👏
Thank you! ❤️
Lots of treasures 😅❤❤❤❤
you should try to make dalgona it just needs sugar melted and i cant express how little baking soda you need and they taste like sponge candy
Adding to my list immediately!
The pic with the Greek key is interesting
Wow thank you for the idea....I really liked it...ur style👌...love from India 🇮🇳
Awww you’re beautiful 🙌🏾
Why not put a side by side?
my fave is the first one (high rise jeans)
