@@3uvakind126 just a product of riding sand tracks! Can’t trust the ruts to stay where they are. I still struggle with squeezing the bike but it really helps keeping control when you do that. Just keep practicing! We all go down from time to time, that’s part of pushing your limits and improving on the bike.

@@GMx_1 I’m headed back in a couple weeks, hoping to bang out some of the jumps I skipped! Freestone has this massive triple step up that is intimidating. I was ready to hit it but there’s a dark spot between the lights and I wasn’t confident hitting it first time without seeing the jump face very well! There’s always next time

@@theodore_844 Sounds great! I had so much fun going to the tracks. We had one track that ran mid week at night, so awesome to peel out of work an hour early and get with some great friends and get out riding. There was one jump there that was massive, you could not work your way up to it because the slope of the face before where you would land was super steep. And lap after lap i said "i'm gonna do it..." and never did! But yea, it was huge jump for sure, over 75'' to the first landing and about 110 to the final step down of the jump! The crazy thing is that I had jumped it in the past when the shape of the jumps was more like a plateau at the first landing spot and that always bugged me, that i could easily clear it before, but now that it looked more intimidating I just could not do it!

@@GMx_1 I line up for every race knowing the risk, and each time I remind myself to be grateful as any moment it could all change. Not everyone will understand why we do it, but the memories will last forever!

@@theodore_844 I paid some serious prices for riding - a broken femur, requiring surgery, torn up knee requiring a separate surgery, concussion and nerve damage and this was all in 1 accident! A few other times where I dislocated my shoulder or broke my collar bone, broken fingers, lots of concussions... But still would not trade it because that time was close to the greatest time I have spent on this planet!

@@onjourneywithkaylyn Rio can be dry at times but the prep this day was great! The moisture stayed in the track all day while I was there. Definitely a great track to check out
