I avoided reading it for a really long time because it’s uncomfortable, right? why would God allow someone that he loves to go through so much? - because let’s be clear, It was the devil not God that was doing these awful things to Job. If God had not allowed the devil to test Job, we wouldn’t still be talking about him today and his faithfulness. Yes, what job went through was awful, but God never left him, God was with him the entire time, even if he didn’t answer. And God cared deeply for Jobs problems. We know this because of the end of the story. God does not promise a life that is safe, peaceful, or without problems. - That’s Heaven - God does promise to be with us through it all.

Jesus may have considered a traitor by the Jewish community (his people) they turned him over to the Romans. The Roman’s killed him only because the Jewish leaders claimed he was trying to, “be the king of the Jews.” Which he never claimed to be. He did a lot of great stuff when he was around, like healing people and brining people back from the dead. The Jewish leaders couldn’t explain it so they conspired against him and had him killed.

Yes, it’s for you not them. It took me a long time to change my thinking away from, “letting people off the hook.” It feels so much better to accept and then let it go.

Matthew 26:39, “He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, 'O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” He knows what is about to happen, and it’s asking God to stop it, but that wasn’t God’s will. He also got in a fight with the religious leaders and they had this argument in John 2:19, “Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will build it again in three days.” They answered, “It took forty-six years to build this Temple! Do you really believe you can build it again in three days?” (But the temple Jesus meant was his own body.) and he did it rise again in three days. He knew what was about to happen. “God my God, why have you forsaken me.” It does seem to contradict on the surface. There are alternative 2 ways to view this. 1. Sin separates us from God. Jesus took the entire world’s sin (and all the future generations of sin) upon himself before he died. He stood in the gap for us. All of this sin separated him from God so he called out, “why have you forsaken me? Or why have you left me?” 2. Some people think Jesus was reciting Psalm 22 on the cross. The words, “God my God, why have you forsaken me?” Is in this Psalm. This is considered a big Bible prophecy come to life because this Psalm includes details of Jesus’s crucifixion 100’s of years before it happened. The more I read the Bible, the more I realize, when I think there is a contradiction, it’s usually something I don’t have the full picture for. Not arguing with you just genuinely curious, peace friend.

In that same way, God is free to welcome you into Heaven, or not, which would be Hell. He’s not got going to welcome you into his kingdom if you don’t want to be there. I am not here to shame you or make you feel bad about what you believe. I also won’t coddle you. Belief gets you into heaven, and if you don’t believe then you aren’t getting in. BUT it’s never too late, if you eventually decide that you want to look into God, not religion, but really get to know God, he will be waiting for you with open arms. He has loved you from the beginning and will until the end. The ball is in your court. I have very close family members who are also atheists. Your belief and wrestling with a higher power aren’t lost on me. I wish you well friend, and just like my family member, I hope to see you in Heaven one day.

@ really? Why must you try to make me doubt my religion. How would you feel if someone told you that your beliefs were wrong and you should do something else. I was a Christian for a bit when I was younger, and personally I’ve had some trauma and very bad times associated with it. I respect and believe that everyone should have their own beliefs and opinions, but saying shit like that is just wrong.

I view religion as a very personal thing, and even if you disagree with my beliefs, you would never see me trying to convert someone to believe or think something that they think is wrong. Yes, you absolutely have the right to worship whatever you want. But why should I make my faith smaller to make you more comfortable? I’m not asking that of you. You started this conversation. I pray that you are blessed. financially blessed, blessed in your job, your relationships, blessed in your family, blessed in your friendships. I pray that Gods love washes over you in unmistakable ways. I really mean this, despite our disagreement on belief.

We suffer not because God hates us, but because he wants us to be stronger. I know that's something that sounds stupid and kind of terrible of a God to do, but development and change, whether good or bad, is important to God and his plan for us. I've been in your shoes before, and it can be hard to understand what God has in store for us. What I do understand, and what I hope you can is that it's not always clear whether or not things get better, but God will never give you something that you can't handle. When things feel pointless, sometimes I need to take my hands off of the controls and have faith that God will help me through it. We all have problems, all caused through sin, whether ours or someone else's. It's because God gave us the free will to either accept or deny him. If denied, it can be hard to maneuver through life without him to rely on, and can result in eternal separation after death. God wants to encourage us to lean on him when needed, to join him in heaven one day, so he sent his son down as a sacrifice for our sins and rose from the dead, defying the grave to promise us salvation through faith. While life won't always be perfect, when you have God to hold you steady in times of trial, that little bit of faith you can have in him can take you a long way. At the end of the day, our lives are a small part of an eternal story that God is weaving, and while we won't know entirely what he has planned, he doesn't intend to hurt us. He wants us to live forever with him in heaven after death, and all we need is to have faith. that's my belief! i hope this made sense and I don't want to force you to think anything ofc! hope this helps and God bless ^^

Friend, this is such a big question, with a lot of big questions put together. 1. God loves you. He loves everyone. He does not delight in anyone’s suffering. He actually sits with you in the suffering and knows what you were going through. When Jesus came, he was given every feeling that you and I have right now. so he knows what these feelings feel like. there are actually a lot of parts in the Bible that talk about suffering. The Bible does not say that if we believe in God that we will not suffer, that is just life in this world. We will all go through things, but he promises to be with us along the way. 2. It is OK to wrestle with God on these things. There is another story in the Bible that literally talks about this. - one of God’s main characters (a prophet named Habakkuk) sees everything in the world going terrible, he questions God, and says if you were loving, if you care about these people the way I know you do, then why are you allowing it to happen? He is angry with God. He is wrestling with what he is seeing being allowed by God. - this is a scripture that makes a lot of Christians really uncomfortable. God says, he is doing a thing that is so big that her back could not understand it right now. - so what do we do when we don’t understand what God is doing? - we remember what we know is true. God loves you. God is not against you. He loves the other people in this world the same amount that he loves you. 3. Unanswered prayers are hard. I am so sorry for what you have endured. I myself have a prayer that I have been begging for, for 22 years. No answer is not necessarily a no from God. God heard you clearly when you ask. He feels you emotions clearly too, he knows what you are going through. It could be a, “no,” it could be a, “not yet,” or it could be a no. Sometimes when we pray for healing for someone we love, that healing comes on the other side of this life. It’s REALLY HARD to keep praying and asking when you can’t see a result. Don’t give up friend, he heard you and cares for you. 4. Sin, or doing things that make us further from God, interrupt the plans God has for us. He wants good things for us, but he will not take away our freedom, he lets us choose 5. Satan is as real as God. While God is rooting for you, the devil is trying everything he can to kill, steal, and destroy your life. The Bible actually says these things. We fight against an unseen enemy of this world. He is the one in charge of suffering here, but unfortunately, God gets blamed for a lot of that. He grieves for every single person who is desperate enough to try and take their life. That is not his plan for them. I know this was long, and I know there are other people that probably could’ve explained better than I. If you are still with me. Please just understand, God is for you and not against you.
