Nice and well preserved R160. Mine has a few more miles on it but is just about as nice. Odd yours has a starter button as mine starts with just the key. ruclips.net/video/pNoMwErzzSs/видео.html
My father had one like this for years, but with Detroit 6-71 power. I don't know the model number but can't forget the body style. And those classic numbers on the gauges.
this trucks were often sold only with their hood and steringcolumn and built then as firetrucks in sweden with the swedish cabin whom is built with wood and then dresswd with plate that is nailed to the wood.
Even some dumptrucks were build in sweden...it was cheeper import the chassi and then built the rest in sweden...cars were imported in peaces and then built together in fabrics untill late 50-s early 60.s...Dodge kingsway was a plymouth body with dodge parts.
When i was 23 years old i bought a 1957 GMC Coe dump truck , mine was painted red also like yours ., i loved my truck . It came with air breaks , these are very strong trucks.
Wow judging by the dash.. The colour was Potomic Grey .one thing that is difficult to replace on Jeep Trucks is the rumming board between cab & box..these.look perfect....the nickel hood strip looks super.....My dad bought identical truck brand new.....I still got it...currently under restoration....Willys Overland....go any where do any thing.....yeah....
You look at this and you know it's got three times the beef of today's Jeep truck, the Gladiator. And anyone with two hands and the IQ of a sand eel or above can work on it.
I'm the purchaser of this truck. It's a little too big for what I want. I'll be fixing and upgrading the operating systems, gonna try to patina the paint and probably sell it after that. I wanted to make a ramp truck but it's too high. Don't want to mess with the original driveline. Keep it original is always best in my opinion.
The L series International pickups have great body lines. My favorite of all the makes from the early 50's. You might like to see my short video of my 52, in its original green paint. It was a ND farm truck and sat inside all the time. The paint still shines up like new. ruclips.net/video/zKTm0UXu320/видео.htmlsi=zgbJR_QdSAXLQjnD We did do a chassis swap on it though, as I wanted it as my daily driver and the original drive and chassis had to go after a few years of thinking and researching my options. I've owned it 22 years.
That truck looks like a total unmolested old original truck I am I H fan I am a retired truck mechanic and have worked on a lot of I H trucks up in to the 2016 s
They're an absolute beast. They were a REAL truck when the rest were only 3/4 there. They cost a little more than the big three's pickups - and people didn't realize they were worth every extra penny, so the IH died out of the pickup market.
Nice truck, I have my dad's 1951 L110 that is 2WD I'll be converting it to a 4WD, donor truck is a 1953. Now the questions. Is the engine a Silver Diamond and what size? Your tail and front fender turn lights do you think there factory? FYI, the frame on the 130 is wider than the 110, I know because when I painted mine 45 years ago it needed a grill, my dad went down south and brought back a complete doghouse so I had to relocate the opening where the grill goes around the front frame horns.
Good morning. If you see another one of these or anything International in the 50's i am looking for a cab to place atop an old scout frame and 304 engine. let me know. If it's not a million miles away i would like to get.
That"s a beautiful truck.I bought one many years ago,47 p/up.Far worse shape than that.Did alot of work to it but was in over my head.Didn"t even have a garage, don"t know what I was thinking. So simple to work on!
Make sure to oil all oil cups and make sure fan hub oil is topped off there is a set screw on fan hub housing rotation to 12 o'clock position Remove screw its about 1 .5 inches long once removed put about 1.5 ounces of oil in 30 or 40 weight thru that screw hole then rotation hub to 6 o'clock Position drain excess oil out if none drains rotation back to 12 position add additional oil. Make sure to snug screw once back in hub check once a month keep checked failure to do this will put that fan assembly thru radiator .. add oil to oil cups on distributor generator same weight as hub oil Also marvel mystery oil added to fuel benefit rings and valves .... also add water pump lubricant to coolant this helps both thermostats and water pumps Seals .. if water pumps ever need replacement at lower hose going to radiator inside lower hose opening is one bolt that needs to come out to replace Pump .... now for engine temperature I use 2 mechanical water temperature gauges for each head ... exhaust used reds headers .. oil filter Cartridge napa carries them delo 30 for engine oil .... just helpful tips for you I own 11 flathead powered vehicles .. I'm currently restoration on 50 Mercury flatmotor no LS bullshit in my old iron ... great video thanks for posting
Thanks for the tips I'll use them I just got a 1946 mercury eight coupe I found out about the oil inthe fan the hard way it loced up on me I repaired it thanks
You fry the gauges with a 12-volt battery those are 6 volt gauges
Open the hood and I, not a motorhead, can identify everything I see. Can't decide if I want that truck or a time machine!!!
Beautiful
My father had a '51 pickup. I remember it well.
So sweet!
Very clean old truck.
Same year as me ! My original condition is not as good ! 😊
New channel for me, where are you located?

Battery: 3 vents = 6 volts 6 vents = 12 volts
Nice looking truck worth the time to have it paint 2 tone colors

How much are you selling it for?
@@2Years2Farm Just try and get most of my money back out of it. I have almost 8k in it. Would sell it tomorrow for a loss at 7k.
PTO won't be working much longer if you don't start using the clutch to engage.
Good idea to garage it so no one can cut the nose off of it for wall art and sell the chasis for scrap. They are getting scarcer by the day.
Anybody else get the smell when he hopped in the cab? I did...

I have a 53 cab, I live in Central Indiana. Don't remember what condition it's in.
I don’t know how old the gas os but I wouldn’t be running to long to find out the hard way
Old gas will bend the push rods. And other things.
Very cool original tow truck
