Our Nigerian Dwarf does are done with breeding and back in with the rest of the girls. Junebug has faught with Pinky-Doo to establish dominance and hierarchy within the herd, which has left Junebug with nobody but her own doeling.

Nola, our oldest dam has never laughed like this before! It was really cold that morning - in the low 20s - and we came into the barn and she was laughing and smiling without making a sound! It was like she thought of something funny, but realized she was a goat and she didn't have a laugh sound.

I bought some seconds apples from the farmers market and dehydrated them to see if our does like them. It's healthier than animal crackers and they are a little fluffy (not talking cashmere) and they need to slim down. They're dairy goats, not meat goats!

I put too much pressure on my Nigerian Dwarf doeling. When I backed off, she started having fun! Note to self - let them just have fun on their own. These little kids socialize and hop around every minute they aren't sleeping or eating.

Plastic is hard and slippery with no grip for the goats. Not suitable or safe- goats are brilliant climbers but not plastic- please consider safer more natural options. 🌻🦋🐐🌈♥️

Hmmm...we just had the vet out and did a check under the microscope...all okay! We recently changed their feed back to organic and this has helped another goat with dandruff. Thank you for the observation!

So cute; she does it when she wants to, not necessarily when we tell her to do it.
Maybe not plastic. Try wood or logs. Her name is too hard. They need 2 syllable and ending in vowel rise with I or ee or aa, so they can hear and internalize it.
Interesting! I'll take this into consideration when I name the new babies next year.

Adorable little goats. The above was a point I thought of, too. Plastic is okay for less brittle creatures, like cats or human children, but not okay for goats, sheep, horses, calves, etc. These animals have legs that are too easily broken. Slides are a human joy, really, and some cats will play on them safely.
@@mt.shasta6097 interesting! I'll be on the hunt for wooden items for the little ones to play on. We have a bunch of big branches we need to drag out there. I bet they'd love that.
