Good pilot episode! Flaws: - The pacing is a bit off with certain jokes. The part where Monica gets kidnapped for example, it lasts 9 seconds where it shouldn't have lasted more than 2. Because of how long it is, we understand the joke before the end of its execution which in this situation isn't great. - I believe you're going for a Office-esque type of humor with the interview section in-between of the story, but the moving camera just feels weird for an animated series. You should drop this I believe - Some characters need more work put into them. Pink hair guy for example, the little elements we're given about him feels like they're going nowhere. Blonde hair guy who orients Monica also lacks some personnality. - The animation style tends to be kinda bland sometimes, but I think it has to do with the pacing again. This episode is wayy too long for the content we're given. A faster pacing would've been better probably. Shorter, but neater. Strength: - Good ideas! Some of the jokes made me crack a smile. The calender one for example (though it would've been better if monica didn't jump to cover it and kept talking instead), the kidnapping one would've with a different pacing, and the guy who's not a human all were good ideas. Same for the turtle joke though again, it should've gone faster. Also, perhaps giving a voice to the turtle would've been better - Little details are nice: The posters, background characters, etc, give a nice touch of "dialy life" to the drawing. I assume your main inspirations are Lord Bung's Confinement and The Office. Trust me, get the pacing right and give some more thoughts into the characters and your animated serie will turn out great! Please don't drop, I really want to see where it goes.
