I am queer and catholic. Though I go the agnostic way when catholics "relatives, friends" etc become unbearable. I just cant stand the hypocrisy from their side. I agree with everything you have said completely. Just one bit, when we say "we are all sinners", christians try to equate queer folks with criminals etc who need earthly redemption and its just the biggest bull crap they sell. On the contrary we are all sinners in the eyes of god (Biblical), means we are all children of adam who have the original sin (this is faith), they twist it around to exclude you.

And I hate hearing them saying that homosexuality is a lifestyle and is chosen while their heterosexuality is just real love and real life. When did they choose to be heterosexual?

Nah man. Its okay to be gay, it just takes away from your own relationship with him if you act on it. Thats how it works, your sexuality itself is not the sin it is if you believe that no matter what you do it is not a sin in his eyes. Im happy that you have a relationshipnwith the lord but the bible is gods word.

Your basic assumption is that LGBT activity is not sinful. That is a difficult assertion to uphold based on the biblical text and its unsurprising that any assertion of Christian truth would be offensive in that context. Christianity is not inclusive. The offer of eternal life is open to everyone, but it is conditional on repentance. If you find these "microaggressions" difficult to deal with, you will struggle so much more with the animosity directed at you for being a Christian.

Yup , I have heard many conservative people and their mentality towards LGBTQ community . Abrahamic religions are man made . They only know two gender, this is all their one book knowledge that's why they are like this. They know nothing about nature and univers knowledge. Because according to abrahamic religions Earth is flat which is funny thing 😂😂. Am proudly saying this because am belonging to sanatan hindu dharma. Which is literally means eternal knowledge. In our dharma Karma is important not human sexuality. I also understand western especially american LGBTQ community mentality because they hate trump but he's following Christianity just like them because I have seen many LGBTQ people marry with Christian values. They celebrate Christmas, christmas eve and visit church, i mean what's this your god already hates you . I don't understand why they're still following Christianity.

As a bisexual agnostic the “I’ll pray for you” one is kinda funny. It’s like I don’t understand why you’re praying for other peoples sexuality. It’s funny. But like if it was like “oh I’ll pray for your sickness.” Or something like that I’d be alr w that.

If your ego and beliefs are so fragile that Edith from the knitting circle at First Baptist Church can wreck you with "I'll pray for you", you don't need a support group or life coach. You need extreme amounts off medication and probably should be considered a ward of the state. You're not helping anyone by loading unstable people's minds up with real aggression and a victim mentality.

I am sick and tired of religious bigotry and cannot stop myself from stridently calling out such insults from religious people in my circle of acquaintances. Yes, religions are an insult to humanity blocking and lately attempting to turn back the clock on social progress!!! That is why I have been not only an atheist, but an anti-theist for years!

I think people should communicate better tbh I don't think god wants us yo share his beliefs by forcing it on people. They should have talked in a calm tone and just informed you about god rather then forceing it. God bless 🙏

Most of us dont want to be associated with that part of the community 😂 i had a good friend and neighbor my whole life growing up, as soon as he came out he was not welcome amongst us ( his friends and family) i wouldn't give up my family for any self righteous feeling, thats stupidity.

As a 50 plus gay bear i dont feel as if I fit in. Im ignored when i walk into a place that is suppose to be gay friendly. Im sorry but I don't exist only to pick up other guys. So when I talk to a person it is not for the sole intent of having sex with them. So stop writing me off because I dont look like your dream date for the night. The gay community is a very judgy and clickish community. So I dont go out much. I cant change how people act so I have not done much to change it.

I would've interpretted his words differently: "Are you sure this is the healthy thing for you to do?" At that point, you already knew he was cheating. He knew he was cheating. He knew that you knew he was cheating. It was established that he had already crossed that line and you both knew it was essentially over. At that point, why torture yourself even more and hurt your own feelings unnessesarily by looking through his phone? Intuitively, you already knew you were only going to find something that would cut you even deeper. So when he asked you if what you were about to do was a healthy decision, he might have meant those words purely at face value... Or not. I wasn't there.

I like how you blatantly ignore the many verses in the Bible that condemn it as a sin. We Christians dont hate you, we care for you. If we believe in a hell, then we will try to help you. If you cast us away, then the second death is no longer blood on my hands.
