This was a collaboration not a versus both guys brought their unique style and flow with LL in ( Jack the Ripper mode) hard in the face barz, which led to the build up for Em to be Em with the word play double and triple entendres and schemes. I don’t think Em held back this was a well orchestrated collab where Em paid homage to both his idols LL and Big Daddy Kane. Definitely can’t forget the dope beat by Q-Tip!

New to Rap here, and so I am still learning how it is put together. Em's first verse matches the tone of his lyrics, by telling you he is about to mock people who fail to grasp the message. He is essentially stating that people who don't understand have foam brains (polyurethane/molly). LL says "the message is in the chorus", there is no chorus. I think it a powerful way to show up to their critics. I don't think the song would have worked in any other rhyme flow.
