Apparently they dont like water on top. We're supposed to water it from the bottom. Dunk it in the bucket of water. Dont let water on gren parts at all. Also when u pot it, medium should not touch bulbs at all. That's what i heard

I’ve got a few epidendrum nocturnums from fairchild tropical botanical garden in Miami. I’ve had them for about 2 years. I keep them outside here in zone 10a, but i can’t seem to get them to bloom. They do grow quite a bit, with a very vigorous root system. Was wondering if you had some tips. Maybe I need to increase humidity.. etc.

The bulbs on your bulbophyllums are immaculate. I'm considering buying a bulbophyllum recurvilabre, I'm unsure due to what I've read about the fragrance. Malodorous seems to be the common description. If its like Stanhopea connata, it can't live in my flat.

Yes, growing plants and orchids is an adventure. I grow Hoyas, philodendron, phalaeonpsis, orchids: cattleya, dendrobium, and Vanda falcata. I got a big collection of cacti too👍I enjoyed watching very much😌🙏

Hi, I don't have a greenhouse but I keep my orchids in a self made grow area in my apartment on the second floor. I now have a quite a few Stanhopea orchids. I have one that I received as well was too wet in sphagnum moss . I removed it immediately and cut the yellowing spotty leaf. It is now in orchid coarse medium. I don't want to toss it because it is a Stanhopea Nigroviolacea Golden Egg. I just have a bulb now because it was a small division. It does have a lot of roots. Do you think 🤔 that it will ever grow any bulbs or leaves again?

SVO doesn't have any Catasetinae to offer right now because the 2023 releases haven't come out yet, usually around July 4 is when he does the first release. He's supposed to have Ctsm ivanae, the purple form, this year which will be the first time available in the US.
