Mammut | The Power of Partnership

What sets apart the very best partnerships in the mountains? You might assume it’s an affinity for the same kind of projects. Or that’s it’s all about matched levels of skills and experience. Or perhaps it’s similar styles of moving through the mountains and compatible schedules that build the strongest partners. But the real secret to the best partnerships is much less about comparisons than i...

Meta | no dreams left behind

I cannot think of anyone in my life that does not possess a dream of some kind. For many, realizing those dreams often becomes a tug of war between everyday commitments and the chastising fear of failure in the pursuit of said dream. Lofty goals of climbing Everest, becoming a pilot, or building their own house, car, or motorbike are often cast aside because “I don’t know how to” and are labell...

The Long Wall - The Worlds Longest Rock Climb
Просмотров 283 тыс.Год назад
Have you ever pondered what the longest climbing route in the world is? You may have guessed that it was the great Mt. Thor on Baffin Island, Canada (4,101ft), or perhaps even the Azeem ridge on the Trango Towers, Pakistan (7,400ft), both impressively large in size, but even these are dwarfed in comparison to the unlikely record holder. Nestled amongst the lush hillsides of upstate New York sit...

How do you measure the success of one’s life? Though often hard to swallow, the reality for most people is that material wealth is the yardstick to which they justify their existence. A belief that excess equals success. But to the lucky ones, they understand that a life well lived is measured by the positivity of your impact on those around you. A proverbial life after death and the birth of a...

Sam Weir climbing Carnage v13/8b in Guanella pass. Fall 2019
I knew this was gonna be good since you started this off with a Timmy O'neal article. He and the El Cap Pirate were the last climbers that didn't take themselves too seriously and made climbing interesting and hilarious simultaneously. Thanks for making a great climbing movie! Looking forward to your first ascent of the mid-Atlantic Ridge, the next innovation in climbing, Scuba-mountaineering.
Oh we're cooking!
Dude, I failed a drug test from watching this bro, like so not rad dude, not rad at all

Wayne's world! Excellent!
Could there be another one coming?!
The approach shoes approach was probably a good idea. In my experience they actually grip slopey & slabby rock that's covered in moss, lichen etc... a lot better. I climb waay to much in my approach shoes lol. Anything like 5.9-5.10 and under, I just send it with the approach unless it feels sort of impossible to do so. They're comfortable for a long day at the crag too. Pretty much an all-terrain shoe tbh.
This is wonderful. Kai is an inspiration. I'm just some random white dude from a conservative area, but damn it brings tears to my eyes hearing some of the shit this guy had to deal with years ago. Incredible climber, incredible guy, great video. Thank you.
Almost British levels of silliness.
Im not saying im British... but...
You guys fancy the first winter ascent?
We got something better cooking!
Amazing story and beautifully shot! Love it!

You cant be smart without ART

You means this comment? We try to not pass judgement.
Before watching this video i never really thought about this being the case, but yes its true i haven't really seen many people like Kia in the climbing world but that doesn't mean that people can't join in on the fun!!

Safety first!
Hands down the best climbing video I've seen in the last decade.
