Actually I am running 19x8.5 35 offset in front and 19x9.5 40 offset on back. With very minimal poke, so little I'm never worried about curb rash.
Oh btw, I use the site FT86club for a ton of information on the FRS/BRZs. Surprisingly you are the only person I've come across that runs 19x8.5 +40f and 19x9.5 +40r (and the site includes alot of sizes and offsets). Your offset is rare and was hoping you could post your car and wheel specs to get the information out there.
I ended up with a 19x8.5 square setup. I was cautioned about a 4mm poke in the front. What has your experience been so far with scuffing and contact with the front benders? I saw some more pics of your car on the Niche website, looks great!
Thanks man, I have no issues of scuffing or contact with front fenders. I'm not sitting that low either, I'm on Eibach Pro's. I think if I went lower I may run into more issues. I'm considering dropping a little lower but I'm debating going cheap route with Sportlines or saving up and going full Airlift. Don't think I will do any other performance mods (engine and etc...) until later. I honestly am just focused on getting the car to looking nice for me and what I like.
Right, if you want a drop greater than 1" the recommended course of action is to upgrade your coilovers or an airlift system. This gets expensive doesn't it? I hadn't planned on updating the wheels until i saw how dinky the stock tires look with the Five Axis.. and then my body kit color is a slightly different shade than the factory Hot Lava.. it's bugging me so I'm looking at a repaint in the future. Supposedly a software tune will smooth out the torque at all rpm ranges and give you a boost near the upper torque around 7500rpms.
+tkai kai Congrats on getting the wheels! Yes, coilovers can set you back between $500-$1800 depending on how high end you go. Airlift can set you back roughly $3000-$5000 depending on which you system/set up you go with. Of course we're not made of money so I've got some saving to do :( Just curious but is your kit from Five Axis or bought from eBay? I ordered my kit through Toyota who sourced it from Five Axis back in May this year. I know Five Axis is no longer into making bodykits, or so it says on their site. They are focusing on other things now. I also had my kit painted through my dealer to make sure it matched perfectly.

Thanks man! They are actually 19's. I went with a staggered set up. 225/35 in the front and 255/30 in the back.
