Oh that makes two of us. I also love the filter especially for around this time of year. It makes sense to use it for spooky snaps and stuff. Yeah im very curious as to what happened, I know a few youtubers who got mine and voted for it and the two it was against weren't as detailed as mine (without sounding harsh haha). You know when Merida was shown I instantly thought about you and how happy you'd be haha! That is some reaction. I almost decided to live stream it but ended up watching with my mum. Im with you on the movie, I liked it but wasn't a huge fan but do like the characters for sure. Im so buying the glider now hahaha!

Yeah they most likely wont bother looking unless lots report them but even then im not sure they'd check. Really curious what the issues are though.

That is possible for sure. Very true though, we dont know how it works fully and that alone is irritating a little haha, Hopefully we find out one day.

Oh I know what you mean for sure. Dont get me wrong, love getting paid DLC if its got lots of content but the fact moonstones is a thing isn't great especially with the prices. Ive never been a fan of microtransactions in games what we pay for. The rewards are good for dreamsnaps (but that is if it works, which I feel there are issues with). Nothing worse in this game than taking ages to do a snap, get poor rewards and then boom shop is full of items that are great but require real money to get them. Funny thing for me is....I cant remember early access that well, I was part of it but now my memory is all jumbled from everything the game has now...but not in a good way.

Haha I hope so! I do believe in the tags also, just wish we knew how important they are really. I may actually laugh or cry if the snap does terribly haha.

Something to me feels off with it. I suppose if more experience it then they may look into it. I assumed that it may of happened to mine but I still got 1200 but is it possible that 1200 was from tags? Probably not but as I always reiterate...we dont know fully how Dreamsnaps work. I will most likely do the same, if the opposite snap has nothing, vote for the blank one.

You know, im on the fence with it. Its a decent challenge, not the best timing but also the fact that there's only a certain amount of items makes it hard to see a lot of difference in snaps haha. That pink cloud filter is the worst on the game for me, even more so than the one I used recently but then again that's one of my favs and a lot of people apparently dont like it haha. Just had a look at your Princess week and you definitely got robbed!! Personally I dont think tags should matter that much, yours should not get punished for that its brilliant! This is a big reason why Dreamsnaps needs work. People cannot tell me a photo that is way worse with hundreds of tags is better than that....nooo waaayyy. Right? Rocky and the clocks haha! Its not like anyone voting will know unless they watch the videos but I thought it was pretty cool.

Oh it could be, I didn't think that it could be ones being reported. Tbh though I have seen around 10 just this week, which seems to be rather high unless its the same few popping up. Yes will try reporting the blanks and see what options come up and such.

I have had a few say that about the filter and after doing my photo (even in a previous video) I mentioned about the filter. Such a shame because I think it fits the theme really well. Thank you for saying I deserved 4k, its good to know that my snap was worthy but just didn't get the results :)

Yeah really does seem like dreamsnaps needs some work. Dont get me wrong, I love it and enjoy doing them but so many people spend a lot of time doing them, making them look insanely good and then they get poor results and we're not really 100% sure why. Feels like the less effort I put in my snaps do better haha.

Its very weird you say that because I said to someone earlier that every time im confident I do worse haha! Literally said to my mum earlier in the day 'I'll see you later, off to get my 4k rewards' haha

Haha kinda funny but she got 2500 this week for almost an empty room and very little tags but im so glad she got some moonstones as shes running low haha. Its also one of the only things we have in common lol

Sorry, don't know how to edit. Anyway I'm wondering in your case what your tags were. I recommend watching Probably Senpai's video on improving dreamsnaps, he goes into a detailed explanation on tags and how they probably actually work (dude ALWAYS gets 4k and high ranks), and his advice got me my first 4k, and fairly consistently since then too.

Honestly I cant remember the tags, I think they may of been low ish this time. That being said my mums almost empty room snap scored 2500 with just enough tags...very strange. Also my all time highest ranked had bare minimum tags. We move on to next week haha. I have watched many youtubers to help with tags but I dont know if I fully believe the tags now....dont get me wrong tags work but hows mum scoring 2500 for an empty room with just the right amount of tags haha.

@RockItToEm Well, in case you don't have time to watch his video, the gist isn't the number of tags you have, but what he calls the value of the tags. The highest value tags have all four as the bonus tags are actually mandatory. Anyway, like I said, the higher the number of high value tags ( first items with all four tags, then items with 3 of the tags, and so on), the higher the chance your snap will be seen. That's it, it just gets more eyes on your snap, so more opportunities to get votes. It's then up to you to have a snap that people like and will vote for. The value of the tags is why you see so many " garage sale" snaps with random shit plucked down in a field, these people are going into the dreamsnap section and placing all the items at the top ( which always have the highest value tags). My decoration snaps usually have tags in the 15 to 25 range and like I said, I have been fairly consistently been getting 4k since using the high value tags, even though people keep telling me my tags are way to low, lol. The other important thing is actually following the theme, that the description words matter, even if they are not in the title. He also has a bit about lighting, composition, etc, it's roughly a half hour video, very informative. Sorry for the wall of text, Rock, but have you checked out adaptive controllers for your mom? Microsoft has had them for years, but I think Playstation also is either working on them or just released one. I know for sure the Xbox one has these circles you can slide your finger/s across instead of holding the sticks or pressing buttons. They are a bit pricy here (Canada, $150.00 for the base with attachments being extra), so not sure of what the cost is like there, but maybe worth looking into for her.

Oh I will give it a watch. I actually do always make sure all 4 tags (all the items at the top) are in every snap so unsure why its not worked for me. I always try get so many in the photo, tend to run out of items in the end because of the four used (especially bonus). The funny thing is the new challenge I have way over 300 tags for each so let's see how that goes haha. I appreciate the feedback for sure. Its not like ive done bad, I almost get 4k every week but this week everyone (along with me) thought my snap was good haha. @@RockItToEm I didn't spend as long on my critters lair because I was going out of town (maybe an hour). I liked it, and it got 1,500. I really needed 4,000 moonstones 😅. Makes me wonder if there is an algorithm that takes a user's willingness for moonstone purchases or premium shop purchases into the scoring formula. 🤔 or is it truly luck of how many times it's shown and who it's shown against.

Haha if my results are similar next week then I may have to dip into buying some moonstones. I wish we knew exactly how dreamsnaps works, all the ins and outs would be awesome. Ive never gone full blown with tags but this weeks I have, see what happens haha.

@RockItToEm i saw other creators voting on your snap, too! The consensus was that it was perfectly executed. I think people take this waaaay too seriously and decide that any snap that doesn't comply with their very important rules they have in their head is unworthy. Ah, well. Always another week!! I dropped to 1200 for critter, but I kinda expected it because I did an out of the box submission I thought was funnier.

Thank you, will definitely not be too worried unless I lose more than I gain because then id definitely of done something wrong haha. Apparently 60% not subbed isnt that bad compared to some, so im okay with that haha.

@@RockItToEm that’s true, we did have a different experience with the duties which I think effects it greatly. For me I can usually get on once every day/two/three at least, so I am capable of getting through the tasks no problem in time. I’ve found this star path to actually be LESS grindy for me personally. I do a couple tasks each day, give some gifts and have a conversation. I find it to be a nice paced ‘slower,’ star path and it actually helped me a lot. But then there’s the complete opposite side of the coin where people like your mom have the opposite experience and this star path is so much harder for them. I do think there needs to be a happy medium somewhere but I don’t know where that line should be. I did enjoy having ‘new’ tasks more than anything. But I think there’s plenty of ways for them to add new tasks without restrictions for certain players. I do have hope that this next one is going to be a lot better for everyone 🤞🏻 And don’t overthink it! I enjoy your content exactly as it has been. Sometimes it takes a while and then all of a sudden things pop off again! But I know a lot of great creators I follow on here have a 60% unsubscribed ratio, so I don’t think it’s an indicator of anything bad. I think it mostly shows that the algorithm is pushing your videos out to some people, OR people who aren’t subscribed are still returning to hear your opinion which holds its own value too.

After however long the star path has been on so far I still find myself whinging about the Tilapia duty haha! Its definitely less grindy, pretty sure they even said less duties too right? It was just certain duties that annoyed me a little, do like the new ones though, hope that's something they implement into future star paths. Would love many more different duties. One thing for me is im very patient and hope to one day reach 1k haha. Yeah that is true with the algorithm for sure, if the people still come back to watch it can only mean good things. Haha yeah the jaffa cake advert was wild. Just checked on the one with the 'hidden squirrel' cant believe I missed that, its a really good snap too!! I had an inkling the resolution scale thing wasn't on consoles, its such a shame especially for switch users. Oh I hate the pose with the fox...that is the one where they sit right down with the critter right? Never liked it, im glad im not the only one who dislikes it.
