My golf cart won't at all or move at all
That filter seems to be ineffective, You're visuals show the coils are so full of dirt that obviously got through the installed filter I guess I'll stay away from the mini cassettes 0:53
I found that using a straw cleaning brush works well for cleaning the squirrel cage
What is the part number or type of filter this exact Amana unit use? Can't seem to find one
I will look it up and post it for you.
Where do we find the tiny blue rectangular filters to replace ?
That is a great question depending on the make and model. You can find them online, local hvac company or appliance store.
can you share a link of where i could buy this switch ... thanks in advance.
They can be picked up at any local appliance repair shop or online. Just look up your model number and make sure it is the correct part number.
If a string from a pair of pants has been trapped in one of the drainage holes in the tub, can it be accessed by opening the top panel like this? I’m scared it’s going to fall down and damage something in the cabinet area
Unfortunately no. A washer drum has 2 parts to it the inner drum (where the clothes go) and outer drum. There are ways to separate the 2 drums just depending on the brand and model.
I have these units, they will clog ever so often even with a regular filter cleaning, I usually need to put some pan tablets in them to stop that, a video on how to do that would be great because I had to just figure it out.
How do we change the lint filter if there is one on this washing machine?
Most top load washers do not have lint filters that can be serviced. To clean, place the washer in "clean" cycle. Front load washers have an access panel usually bottom front. Thanks Anthony for watching and asking.
Thank you so much. Your video coupled with the error code video made this so much easier
Thank you for the positive feedback.
Terrible video, you don't explain anything
Hey, I have a question, does cleaning out the Filters cause more air to come out of the A/C?
Clean filters on any HVAC system will allow the proper air flow and circulation needed for the system to operate properly.
I accidentally pulled out the top and bottom part of the front cover to get access to the filter where as you only pulled out the bottom part. I can't seem to fit the top part now. Help please
I've been waiting a long time for you to make more videos, it by the way as all of your videos was excellent. Keep up the good work!
Nice setup
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching Salem Kares.
I followed your steps I change it and still don’t working I heard it needs to reset is that true how I reset it? Thank you
What type of work do you do? What is the primary purpose of this bag?
Hey Lee Hart thanks for watching. I am a Maintenance Supervisor for a multifamily company.
What do you need to replace the lid locks and unlocks 4 times then shuts down?
Sounds like an issue with the main control board
Thanks for replying so what do I do. Do I get the whole kit with harness or would replacing the lid lock part and where is the sensor for that? The sensor is what sends the signal is it not.
we had a tenant force the door when it was locked. total bone head move
Excellent service for every 3 months thanks a lot great vd
Do not use a putty knife to remove switch bezel, simply spread the two flanges under the switch.
Thanks Eric. You are correct, you can do this on when they are not damaged. This is the way I was taught by the GE service repair.
Very helpful, thanks for sharing this!
You not clean the blower motor All the dirt is there
You are correct in this post. It is the basic cleaning. Full service clean is remove the cover plates drop the unit down carefully remove the condensation pan. Clean the blower wheel, coil, condensation pan and pump, check the drain lines and vac them. Never got around to making a video that detailed due to it being a rental and limited time.
This is my Buisnes in Toronto over 25 years in Buisnes
Awesome Akbar
Should’ve showed a little more on the lid lock and told everybody not to forget to put everything back together
Next replace that comes up I will try make it better. What would you like to know more on?
You just saved me a ton of money!
No problem it is an honor to hear that.
Good video. But why don't you unplug the old switch and plug the new one? It might be much more easier
Easier yes, but I wanted to show the whole replacement. Someone might need to replace the wire harness as well as the lid lock. For educational purposes.
Thanks alot. Very clear instructions. It worked.
Thank you very much.
Can you just replace the lock? It looks like the harness has connectors on each end.
Yes, you can replace just the lid lock but for educational purposes wanted to show the full replacement as you get it all in the kit.
On our outside camera we witnessed twice a huge puff of smoke or steam coming from the compressor outside. Does this sound like a clog somewhere in the unit, inside or out. We have the exact unit you are showing in this video. Overnight temp was below 30F each night.
Note: we heard clicking right after the smoke/steam burst into the air, up toward the security camera
It sounds as if the heat pump is going into defrost and it is normal. If you have an electric heat pump system. The heat pump pulls heat from the outside and as the air temperature drops the unit ices up and needs to go in Defrost to clear the ice. This cycle lasts average 5-10 min.
Thanks for Sharing your short video!
What's the name of that part that you are changing out? because mines broke 😢5:12
It’s a lid lock switch if you call your local appliance store and give them the model they can find your lid lock kit.
Anyone know if you can "dry" run this washer? I have it in the shop and want to test it. Thanks
We you can run a washer not connected for service to see if it runs or diagnose the mechanics but alway proceed with due regard and caution. The water just is just for the clothes to move and wash.
distilled water
Yes thank you
Covid is a scam
Very good to point out this . Thanks
Do you have tips on cleaning the drain hose? Or even how to get to it if its clogged? Any help would be great!!
This is a great question and a very common issue. First thing you wanna do is wet vac the end of the line outside to try to clear it first. There are hidden screws holding the case cover on. With the case removed this will expose the inside drain line. Always try the outside first.
THANK YOU, so much better than other videos. Changed out switch in 10 minutes
TJ Marco You’re very welcome glad to help.
Have brand new Hotpoint washer. Controls look just like yours. Will not unlock. How to jimmy lock open?? Thanks.
Depends if it a magnetic lock or a physical lock.
@@braxtonboysmaintenance2644 mine is physical, looks like the same model as the one in your vid. any tips?
Hey I just installed this exact part on this exact washer and it’s not working. The lid is still not locking. The little part that is supposed to push through the top part won’t come out I guess? I just don’t know what to do next, I followed the instructions that came with the part precisely
The paper that came with the new type switch had something about the switch not releasing and to make sure it was retracted when installing. Jus sayin'
Installed new lid lock. In my washer lid only locks during rinse and spin cycle.
Jose, some units do only lock during these cycles and others will lock the entire cycle time.
Lexie, Thanks for watching, there could be other issues that would need to be troubleshooting to determine the issue or issues.
Thanks a lot
What could the problem be with a refrigerator that has perfect cooling in fridge area but freezer is completely warm? I only find videos with opposite problem. Please help
I am not to familiar with that specific issue. Is it a side by side, freezer drawer or top mount?
Thanks for your reply. It’s a whirlpool french door bottom freezer. The compressor comes on fine, no clicks near compressor, evaporator fan comes on intermittently, the copper coil thingy the thermostat is attached to gets cold icy but it doesn’t spread to the rest of the coil fins. Sometimes the freezer fan is spinning (evaporator fan) and other times it doesn’t come on but when it is in it just circulates warm air.
As not being able to physically diagnose it listed are possible reasons for the issue. I would recommend having a certified whirlpool technician run diagnose your cause. Could be several issues the common is bad door/gasket seal, defrost timer, less common is temp control board, dirty coils or bad compressor. Best of luck and please let me know! Thanks
I just had a brand new GE upright freezer delivered today and guess what? It’s not freezing! Gah!!!!!
Before you do any work I would use the manufacture warranty.
Also make sure you give it time to cool down, settings are appropriately set and the obvious making sure it has power (gfci not tripped)
the video should be called "how to clean your clean air filter"
It is called that it’s a basic video for filter cleaning not a full strip down and cleaning.
Thank you so much, from a lost women : ) Im so thankful for people like you on youtube. Im a mom who cant also afford to hire someone to fix stuff. So its DIY or nothing at all. Thank you !
God and Family so glad to hear we could help.
Easy peasy right to the point. Very good 👍
Thanks for watching glad to help.
Thanks a lot..I got it. My timer switch wasn't advancing. 😄
Thanks for the comment glad to help.
When you say the timer switch wasn't advancing what do you mean by that? My machine will not agitate and I am at my wits on the cause.
@@jodibrewer5005 the timer knob on the front of the dashboard has to advance from fill to wash, rinse and spin..if your timer switch..which is under the timer knob..is faulted..your timer knob wont advace...most times that switch kneeds to be replaced.
I followed your instructions and it was very easy washer is now working properly.
Thank you John
You literally skipped the hard part.
I have a video of opening the cage.
