Given that she is a spellcaster, you would think a basic prestidigitation cantrip would go a long way with laundry and other cleaning. I know that, if I had that spell, my entire world would be immaculate.
Aelwyn I know you're a wizard but please please go thrift or steal or blackmail someone into giving you a leather jacket for the feeding process. Everyone without magic has already solved the problem of light armor.
Sometimes you're freed from an emotionally traumatic upbringing and you just have to pour love into cats until this fixes you. We've all been there.

I *adore* their sisterly relationship! Like… Aelywyn’s still herself but she’s letting herself actively show care for her sister, if in a very Aelwyn way. And I love that she *wants* Adaine to be getting all that love and affection that she needs, she just *doesnt know* how to process it herself and accept care, even though she likes it! And Adaine gets that *and to an extent feels the same way*! Cause she’s not used to loving family that, sometimes the worst thing that happens at home that day is you have to spell your sister to get her to go to class! It’s *so sad* and it makes me hate Arianwen and Angwyn Abernant even more than I already did, but it makes so much sense!

5:30 One thing I both love and hate about this scene is Fabian just going "Yeah yeah, I'm fucked up as well, lets be toxic together" just to get some kisses in, when his entire Sophomore Year arc has been letting go of his daddy issues and learning be his own person, making him one of the most wholesome members of the Bad Kids at the end of that whole adventure. But sure, if the hot senior wants a toxic love interest to kiss, play the part Fabian.

A lot of Dudes, especially young dudes still in highschool, will absolutely destroy their own life just to hook up and have some fun with a hot and crazy no good girl. Allot of dudes think with nothing but their peckers when around pretty women from about the start of highschool till about their mid to late 20's, they will throw morals and self ideals they have right out the window in order to get a little play cause they are super horny like all the time and even if they aren't horny all the time the sight of a beautiful woman can get em going quite easily especially if that woman is throwing themselves at them.
I think it’s disingenuous to say both of these aspects of his character aren’t intrinsic to Fabian. He is both wholesome and toxic.

And also, them not making sense is the point, that’s why they’re so messy. It’s not real feelings, it’s their bad impulses clashing and why they didn’t work out. aelwyn’s growth is so fucking fantastic, she’s still true to herself, scheming and a *little* evil, but she is still human (elf), brennan plays nuance so well, he plays her complexity so wonderfully
She's still up to her BS, but not nearly as bad, is prioritizing improving her relationship with Adaine, and still working through deeper shit like missing Penelope. I love all the scenes with her.

I super appreciate Aelwyn representing me in that I struggle with the social aspect of kindness, so cats really are perfection because they're lovable little shits who don't emote or verbalise in the same way people do, and any reactions cats have about me don't feel as exhausting as people's do. Cats tell you what they want, and if you give them what they want, they don't give a fuck about anything else you do, and that's fantastic for me.
The minute anyone messes with her cats, Aelwyn will make them rue the day they started conceiving thoughts

Considering she’s a higher level wizard I wondered why she wouldn’t have done that… then I thought about it. Her parents had a *serious issue* with practical casters- anything that wasn’t purely academic or combat focused, no thank you, that’s beneath us. So… what’s the likelihood they would have taught her or that she would have sought it out while she was trying to get their favor. Like I’m sure they had unseen servant going in their house- but what’s the likelihood they *taught it to Aelwyn*?! And now, she’s an adult that has a full time job and 10 cats- she probably doesn’t have time to learn a first level cantrip like prestidigitation that would be *really helpful*! Seriously… I hate Angwyn and Arianwen *so much* for what they did to these kids!
