👍👍
My right ear felt lonely.
Something wrong with the sound here. Almost inaudible with volume on maximum
How strange! I can hear it fine on half volume, if anyone else having the same issue? If so, I will delete and repost
What a wonderful, inspiring thing to see as I get ready to go play Mass! Thank you, Rita, for your service and dedication!
Looks great for 88!
I live in Edinburgh and These days I try to learn more English and I watch your Videos. I like them. Thank you so much. I think you are a good News presenter as well ☺️
Thank you very much, that's very kind =)
Congrats and thank you for your service. But there comes a time to retire and rest. Make room for the young people!
You're everywhere...
Is an "organ player" considered an "ORGANIST"?.?.? Congrats to this lovely woman!,!
Yes.
Congratulations and all good wishes from a youngster - 71 years old organist from south of the border in SE London. Blessings in abundance to you, Rita. xXx <><
Dear lady. God bless her. At my late church our pianist/ organist and choir director served for just over 65 years. Her name was Beverly Hutton. She and her husband Ed were loving, devoted members of our church until their deaths 2 years apart.
You're simply amazing!
Congratulations Rita. I’m at 57 years as an organist in Fife, so I’ve a bit of catching up to do!! Blair.
What a lovely lady!
WHAT A GREAT ORGANIST.
Accompanying Sermons ? Honestly!!!
Her reward will be great!
Great story!
Rock on Miss Rita! Love, a fellow church organist.
“Organ player”? I would call her an “organist”.
Beat me to it 😄
Congratulations on a great life.
What a great acheivement
Well done Rita!😅You are a star!!
Embarking on a property buying journey in the UK involves more than just finding the perfect home - it requires a clear understanding of the associated costs and whether the UK offers attractive prospects for home buyers and investors/traders etc. And to top it off, those who own two or more properties don't want to pay taxes? While those who have nothing are charged for everything, this is the land of the smart ones, while myself bought a small apartment years ago through the Genesis housing association scheme, the lender and all the gangsters kept everything, people are very dishonest and opportunistic in no man's land, they are very opportunistic and miserable when no one has given you anything, rather they have scammed me and robbed me, that's the world of vile people. Let the one who has more pay more, it's justice!

We love Hattie! She’s the embodiment of our fabulous breed! We’re so proud of her! Such a lovely girl and a brilliant ambassador!
This is just ridiculous. Took a massive gamble and bought a derelict house planning to DIY the refurbishment over 12 months, bought with my hard earned money as an employee. Money I already paid tax on...The hose was empty for years and unliveable. Just received a tax bill at 200% rate. For what? They're not collecting any rubbish...I already pay council tax on my house that I live in. I will look for legal advice and sue the council. I can't afford to pay £3000 / year council tax. Another brainless law by incompetent politicians.
Thank you for your thoughts, is your second home in the Scottish Borders and would you be happy to share your opinion in an interview for our news programme? My email is Isla.todd@itv.com
Very cool. Will see him tomorrow. Would be great if he played for USA. Shrimp burritos better in San Diego than Scotland. Ha. 🏉🇺🇸🇬🇧🏴
The punishments need to be more severe. We also need to do more to protect or UK wildlife which is severely deprived compared to the rest of European populations. Attitudes towards existing wild life also needs to change, pigeons, seagulls, rats, magpies, crows, badgers, foxes. They are all part of the ecosystem. Some of these animals feed the apexes at the top of the food chain.
As long as Tony O'Sullivan has anything to do with this project then it will be doomed to failure .
She's just a joy to behold. Dogs give us so much beyond what we see. Thank you too , for letting more people see this lovely breed, as it is on the endangered list of do breeds. It's not only that hunting isn't as big anymore, or that it is a difficult or bad breed, but simply that not enough people know about this little Welsh chap.
It's down to the council to provide good quality homes for their area, not the people who have bought a second home with money which they have already paid the tax on.Checking out the salaries of the higher up council staff, why not whip a wee 20grand off each of them every year, after all ,they can afford it,probably more than their latest victims, the second home owners. Council worker....a nice wee oxymoron!
Absolutely. There are far too many preconceived notions about second home owners. I worked all my life my work colleagues regularly spent thousands on going abroad numerous times a year while I grafted working on a run down remote property for us to holiday in. The area has no work apart from seasonal so not true to say we are taking a home from anyone. We go as often as possible and I will be living there on my own as I am retired already but both plan to retire there in a couple of years time. In the meantime I need to make some changes to make the house suitable for this. Doubling the council tax isnt going to help free up our place for the market. Mr Osborne introduced the second home stamp duty which I paid (6K) out of my so called tax free lump sum when I took my pension. I have and do pay more than my fair share of tax.
@@stevefarable The baby boomers have been targeted and like myself withdrew my tax free lump sum from pension that they rant on about to get and save whilst my friend is on Pension Credit, No Council Tax and more money plus a heating allowance. The problem is though that so many holiday homes contribute hardly anything to the local economy and push up the house prices in the area making low paid workers inaccessible to buying their house. I would like to see property prices fall as they have been overpriced for years to give some a chance but would also hit the benefits system hard as the incentive not work and play the system is prolific and abused.
Tory mps must be fuming
This will be easy to get around for second home owners, for example one house in the spouse name, if they really want homes to re enter the market offer incentives to do so like stamp duty holidays. This is just another half baked proposal which will do nothing. These homes are also not the homes young people need, they are often remote and out the budget for most first time buyers.
Typical, a council looking to make money, when they lose money left right and centre through many of their wasteful policies. Just look at the SNP, wasting monies on all sort of crazy ideas. This money would be better used to filter down to local councils to keep facilities open.
Yay rent prices are going to rise, who doesnt love paying £700 a month for a room in a sht hole city.
This won't apply to 90% rental properties which are setup as a business. This levy is on your average Joe who feels the need to own more than one house, or a holiday home for example.
The 200% charge will only apply to second homes, for example a property that lies empty for the majority of the year except for personal use. Rental properties Council tax is paid by the tenants, and air bnbs are taxed as a business Scot gov website: "At the moment, a property is considered self-catered accommodation and therefore liable for non-domestic rates if it is let for a total of 70 nights and is available to let for 140 nights in a financial year."
@@reporterislatodd no if you pay for a bedroom like me council tax is included in the price.
@@isaacdemir8576 nearly every single person who owns rental property owns more than one house FFS lol
@robinelliott-ni2eh the 200% charge applies to second homes that lie empty until the owner visits for personal use. It doesn't apply to landlords who own more than one property because they come under different rules. There are only 1055 second homes registered in the Scottish Borders
Fuck walkers. They ruin the forest. Forests are for dirtbikes.
BUY IT !!! Before the council get their chainsaws on it
Second home, is that business home like Air B and B etc That would make people think
No, air bnbs are taxed as non-domestic because they're a business. This second home charge will alley to properties that lie empty for the majority of the year except when the owners are using it for personal use, not commercial
I hope you manage to buy the woodland and keep it for your community.
