Railing installation videos for Metalhandrail.net
Core Drilling EZ Rail installation demo
We finally finalized this video on how to use the core drilling method to install an EZ rail. We used a drill and bit rented from Home Depot and anchoring cement also from a big box store to demonstrate that everything the average person needs is available. We were only installing two posts but if you are considering for our more post this really starts to become cost effective. It's also the strongest, fastest, and best looking method if you are doing multiple railings.

Install your own metal wall rail. It's really easy using the EZ hand rail system. Install in brick, block, or even drywall. To order please check out www.metalhandrail.net or www.zottolafab.com look under residential wall rails.

A step by step guide for installing a installing a metal handrail in the ground. The process uses the the EZ Rail system.
Thanks for letting me see this demonstration this will be of great help
I needed to see what kind of a pole you used. My steps are built into a hill with winding stone steps I don't want to ruin.
The posts are 1 x 1 tubing 1/8 thick wall. Really strong about 60 inches long so you have a good bit to cement in the ground.
If the stairs were longer and you needed multiple railings I suppose the line would be needed but otherwise someone could just measure up 36 inches or so on each side. I liked the explaination of the different bolts.
Actually we have a system where we make the rail whatever length but it does have to bolt together if it is over 8 foot long. For example 12’ would be 2 6 foot sections that bolt together. We try to get a couple of brackets on each section. This way you have continue grip down the steps.
@@jason1carnley Yep that makes more sense what you said. I don't know why I was thinking someone would just put up a bunch of separate 6 foot railings. Thanks for the reply.
How did you get the core out itself?
That type of drill mostly crushes the concrete inside the core. So you either vacuum it out or it’s up in the corner and you tap it out.
Great instruction. Thank you for the time and effort you took to make this video and share it with us. Greetings from Croatia.
Plumb not level
Nice video
I know you can find solutions to this problem in the Stodoys plans.
How much weight can this hold up. If I have a 250# person with knee or back problems who may need to "catch" themselves, will it hold? I plan to concrete mine in ground. Don't want to drill into my 60 year old concrete porch.
Ou rails are rated for 150 side pressure in ground is vey strong if you get the pot deep and put 80 per pst it should work it all depends on the care of the installation
Thank You for showing me what kind of anchor to use, I was going to use the wrong one for a brick wall.
Great video! Have you seen these drill bits? Tank, Shark and Rocket. The fastest drill bits on the planet! And longest durability. ruclips.net/video/Uuq258TMyaE/видео.html
Metalhandrail.net is where you can order the materials. Don't waste your time at the woodprix page. They want you to subscribe to something.
All of my woodworks I am making with woodprix. Google and try it.
Learn how to make it yourself with all details. Just google for 'woodprix' website:)
This video is great, thanks for putting it up. What's the name of the rail system you used? I'm looking into ordering one myself but can't find one like this.
There are two different websites you can go to if you look at the end of the video they show up in a graphic. The other thing if you google search metal handrail it will come up close to the top on the first page. The domain is metal handrail and you want to go to the products and then to the in ground style. Thanks for looking.
nice job, what tool did you use to dig the hole, im not too good with machinery, just want to know what tool can i use to dig by using hand?
Here in PA the ground is pretty hard so I go at it with a digging bar, shovel, and post hole diggers. So all three are common hand tools. The idea is to just dig a hole big enough to put a full bag of cement in. Its preferable to go deeper rather than wider especially in places where the ground is subject to freezes in the winter. Thanks for looking.
great thanks and u should put more tutorials, ur video made lots of sense compared to other videos
superbadass pager!
This video was worth all the anchors alone. I love the zip anchors. I never heard of them before.
the links are in the video description, thanks.
Thanks for asking I added the two websites that we have to the description. Same price either place thanks.
