Would be cool to pull measurements off of it and build a whole new cabin that looks like the original
Dangit! We never got that video you wanted
I know, always next year.
I wonder if there were leaves left on it for extended periods of time.. that would expedite rotting.
Is that really her number ? 😂
NVM not even enough digits lmao
The lack of gutters on the house did the original deck no favors
Needs a vapor barrier on the concrete and to be slopped for drainages or it will just rot away again from the constant moisture and evaporation cycle 😢 really just needs the concrete to be removed all together! Concerned for the footing beam of the house it probably rotted too! 😮😮😮
😂 yes do the evil thing
I’ll buy it
I could put untreated 1x3s on a deck and they wouldn’t rot that bad in less than 10 years.
Its to close to the ground for wood. Do a poured patio. If they really want wood and not masonry put those removable mahogany or teak wood deck tiles over a patio slab.
You said in his 60’s?!? That’s wild! Good for him! I’d say most 20-30 year olds can’t do what he just did.
Definitely Oliver is the man.
GOD BLESS

You’re in Texas and it rotted like that? Must be water under there
1x2 slats is a welcome change... When I'm not building it. Looks cool. Great job!
Having wood rot that easy and that fast is pretty shocking considering the fact it’s supposed to be used outside. I’ve seen wood from over 100 years ago in better condition
Do you guys ever do timbertech or another composite?
We do a lot of Trex
I can’t see untreated wood rotting that fast
Good work. Hopefully, those are steep toed reinforced work sneakers.
That wood sat in a pool of water.
Dump them and move on ----->
👍
Why put a deck on a concrete floor
A little elevation. Feels nice, gives a different vibe .
Why not??
@@adammonahan687 I mean it seems strange to put a deck on the ground
I wonder if the cement slab under neath it was pooling water causing the rot to speed up?
I think that definitely played a role
Use redwood or cedar
The counter top should overhang the sink by 1/2 inch. Both sinks look terrible in this video.
Why on Earth was the front of the Belfast sink undermounted? Should just be the back and sides. Now you've a surrounded sink on the top, and the front visible.
I absolutely hate that that style of glue up is marketed as butchers block it’s not butchers block is an end grain glue up while counter or table tops are strip plank glue ups
Undermounting a Belfast sink like that is heresy.
Where are y’all from
Houston
The butcher block counter top part look great. The farmhouse sink not being exposed in the front defeats the purpose of calling it a farm sink. Those of us in the comments understand the pain of seeing the sink front covered, but not our kitchen 🤪.
That’s really funny to put in “quality” acacia to replace the acacia wood that was already there. It’s all imported junk wood.
First counter tops were customer supplied. Second were ruined by over thinking it.
I love the stain and Roman edges!!!! Surprised it’s not done more, it looks amazing. Customer has good taste. Yall did a really good job!
Wow, your work is Stupendous!
Don’t listen to the keyboard warriors! Looks awesome man!
That sink is supposed to be exposed on the front! It's an apron sink.
you are a crapsmith- do you need me to teach you how to do carpentry?
Always going to be someone who knows better man. Looks much better now. Plus added functionality.
Hell, yeah big daddy stump riding is a type of company. I’d like to work on my property.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL 😍 Iam Curious I wander how much this wood Butcher. block Conner top cost?👍✌️
$2,500
Oh man that original contractor just didn’t care
This is an amazing video! I’m a cabinet contractor in Dallas looking for good content ideas. You are dialed in! This video gives value through a real life story and shows the results on screen. Incredible. I need to up my game. Subscribing.
Thanks brother
The after is absolutely beautiful
whats up with that piece of pine right in the front of the sink looks like shit
Who “butchered” that sink install!?!?
You can see where he just sanded on those 45’s
Looks great but you forgot to clear the bottom side that is not exposed. Everyone misses that step because it’s out of sight out of mind but it is very important to seal the bottom side before installing always.
That corner connection isn’t tight enough in the video look as if you can see right onto it
Nice.
Never had a bad review means we give discounts for good reviews
Lol 🙄 or we do great and follow through on our word.
DIDJA SAY HOUSTON?
Yes and surrounding areas
