well this is ironic the line to sea lake is still BG
A78 is officially preserved as of 2024. Pacific National was feeling generous and decided to donate the last Freight Australia A class to Seymour Railway Heritage Centre. A78 is still at the Bendigo workshops but eventually A78 will be transferred to Seymour.
Yes its great that PN decided to donate, rather than scrap like they did with the others. Now for me to capture its relocation, which I assume will be by road in the not to distant future.
@@motivepowerphotography8780 they're gonna need new bogies for A78 if they want A78 to operate again
DARRENR 🏠 have OK yes
best ar x2
Nicccee.
Nice little video ssr will be short on locos after that incident looks like those locos where destroyed a shame they had the clp and the g running well
an impressive train. i know most people dislike the graffiti but there were a few gems in amongst the scribble. i list them: 1:42, 1:59, 2:21, 2:52(theres 2) and 3:15. i might be alone but i would enjoy a train covered in such caricatures. my favourite on this train is the one on the side of the wagon at 2:52.
Thank you very much! Wow the two rakes attached, will be some sight on the return fully loaded!
I hope it will be 'some sight'...We will find out in the early hours of tomorrow.
Nothing beats the sight and sound of the EMD Streamliners. Great video. Cheers.....
Superb.
Great video of a sensational lash up! Thanks for staying up late, and for sharing. Cheers!
Wooow that'sname of modern diesel locomotive!
Nice video! Do you know where A78 has been sitting before coming to North Bendigo yard?
No i dont.
There’s a video of it crammed down a siding with b65 and a work train
It was originally stored in South Dynon before heading to Bendigo.
Some O. Winston Link vibes there...
Awesome footage mate.
Nice Catch there. Guessing the comeng is only there for storage till they work out what to do with it.
We believe scrapping by SSR, so they can work out a $$ cost to be able to scrap further units.
@@motivepowerphotography8780 Ah got it. Heard a while ago that they have to be broken up in an environmentally friendly way. Recover as much as possible with minimal amount to landfill. Sad to see them go but will keep a few people employed.
Interesting consist
It was indeed.
Awesome
Great video 👏
Cool video! I'm assuming this the same motive power that makes the magazines?
Cheers for your comment. No mate, Completely different, that is Motive Power Publications. I liked the name, it was available, so i grabbed it.
what are the 2 locos at centre of screen, background at 2:50?
B64 & GM12 - long time storage - pretty much shells only I believe.
@@motivepowerphotography8780 , if i was a rich american foamer i'd make an offer they couldnt refuse and take one of the very few remaining double-enders back to america.
Nice shots with the drone!
Exported from USA right?
All of these locomotives are Aussie built

Really not concentrating that day...my bad..!
Lol this comment doesn’t make sense now that he edited the title name 😂
@@Planetrainguy haha
excellent. someone else did a droney of dynon recently.
Cheers. I have done a few drone sessions over the outskirts of Dynon, but wont enter to far, I dont want to have it declared a no fly area because of someones stupidity & safety concerns...respect allows us to all enjoy what we have!.
@@motivepowerphotography8780 , i can't remember who did it. the notes indicated he knew the rules and was within them. i'll go and have a look who it was.
it was alex's train channel about a week ago.
Awesome Footage Is the footage near Ferguson Street?
Thanks & Yes.
@@motivepowerphotography8780 ok thanks
Great job mate! That's a ripper view from the drone of it rolling past the Freight Terminal.
Cheers, It puts the scale of the facility into perspective & allows people to see where the train travels.
Wow I Saw the ssr train Saturday
Oh to see and hear this on Warrenheip Bank in daylight!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
The sides of the tracks would be somewhat crowded with rail fans...The sound would be amazing..!
fuel leak ?
Appears so.
Great video! Cookin'
Cheers mate!
never seen such flames in an australian video.
excellent
Great.
When you speed the video up, the loco sounds like a scooter
Nice
Love it bud! Keep them up!!
Excellent capture!
Very clear video. Well done. Efficient crew change in three minutes, because this 1800 metre - I assume its length - freight blocks the level crossing. Great to see about only one empty slot even if the video is now 20 months old.
Cheers
Very nice, well done
loved it. (i'm not a robot - i actually watched it)
Nice one Ian
Cheers Brad.
Great to see a BG grainy running. Hopefully they'll be a little more frequent. Especially if the predicted bumper harvest materializes.
SSR have been running BG grain trains in the Bendigo area lots, whilst PN have only just run a few in the last months, but none for the 12 months prior.
Nice vid mate... love the s class
Is there a reason why the bendigo to inglewood is there a reason why the Bendigo to Inglewood line there is it's not in operation
Numerous washaways about 9+ years ago. No $$ for rectification. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eaglehawk%E2%80%93Inglewood_railway_line
tim is a bot/spam thing. i'm a real person so when i say amazing video i really liked it you can believe it. i especially liked the bit where they were using a hammer to hit the solenoid to start the loco. that's an old trick that works in cars, though it indicates repairs will be needed soon. they wouldn't have a solenoid in the starting system for these things would they?
I assumed so with regards to Tim. Regarding the hammering, It was not a solenoid, it was the cinder trap fell off and had to be smacked back on. It collects heavy carbon build up.
@@motivepowerphotography8780 , cinder trap. never heard of them. ta for info. by the way, cinder trap sounds like a good name for a scambot. that thing was using the name trapdrip for a while.
Lovely video, I've subbed
Glad you enjoyed it. Plenty more on the page to waste away the hours & days. All the best.
how come no-one else has thought to film from this location? i've never seen it before. by the way, shiviko is a bot.
There are other videos taken from the bridge, as for drone, not sure.
Very nice Ian, the overhead shot of the grain crossing the GS worked well
