Yes it was a special order but the 2 tone was an option when buying new.
Do you have a list of all of the options that were available on jap cars as I have noticed they are quite high spec compared to UK. I will give you a ring this week as this looks like the lowest milage anybody will ever find!

This is a UK car. We had the 2.5TD in manual or 3.0 V6 Auto. The 3.5 wasn't released here.

Alfa Romeo 156 1.9 JTD, is really great car.
Yeah OK, I’d like to buy one. Pity we didn’t get to hear the engine rather than that nauseating music…ah oh. For me, thr only questionable design feature is how the rear quarter window finishes where it has ‘V6 S’, otherwise perfect.

@@gmain1977 it's one of the cheapest PRODRIVE V6's or sale in the UK and probably one of the best. Even the RAC commented on how clean it is.

Schon einmal etwas von FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES , mit Sitz in Kanada gehört?Oder von den Aufkäufen aller Mitanbieter innerhalb Italiens über drei Jahrzehnte zuvor; also Alfa, Lancia, Innocenti, Maserati,... Alfa Romeo ist wie auch die anderen Marken (außer FIAT),- spätestens seit d. Umstrukturierung-, erledigt, sprich Geschichte. Übrigens ist der in's Bild gerückte PKW für wahre ALFA ROMEO Liebhaber allenfalls ein Lacher wert. Schade, aber wahr!

Ha ! That’s my old car. Had it from 40k miles up to about 99k. Not done many miles since I last saw it. Cracking motorway cruiser. Built like a tank, loads of torque. It was a good friend. Always serviced it regularly, glad it’s looking so well

@@truealfa2840 thanks 😎 what I meant was I owned that actual vehicle RE59ZGA. To anyone reading this it was as sound as a pound when I sold it in circa 2018 with 99k on the clock. Oil changed every year without fail, cam belts and water pumps done as per schedule. I am driving German at present but have spent most of the last 40 years driving and enjoying Alfas. True Alfa if you want any “inside history” i can give you a call and bore you to death 🤣

Nice - this must be one of the last to be imported into the UK. 3 cars went to Malaysia of all places in 2007 and sat in their container on the docks for 8 months due to import restrictions. Then in 2008 they were registered and are the last three - all in blue with cream interior like this car.
