The OLD MAN with a PLAN follows a jack of all trades through his adventures. His plans include gardening, repairs, remodeling, landscaping,. How to videos on these repairs and maintenance to quads, gators, lawn tractors, Kubota tractor and other general equipment. These videos will also include how to videos on electrical systems, plumbing systems and building additions. A secondary camp residence will also show landscape improvements, rock splitting and rock walls and addition to sheds and main camp building remodeling. The Old Man with a Plan shows how he lives a retired and senior lifestyle.
How to Replace Kubota Engine Belt on BX 25
I had a belt break on my Kubota while digging a stump out. Video is on the replacement of belt for coolant pump and fan, alternator, and hydraulics. Video gives nut and bolt sizes. Tells the viewer the order of parts to remove for access to belt. Also reviews and hows reassembly of belt and covers etc. Also list Kubota drawing of belt and associated parts.

I am building a stone wall from rocks found on property. These include rocks dug up and large rocks split on previous video. This video includes digging the bank with Kubota Tractor and all preparation for the wall. I am using the tractor for positioning and moving the large rocks. This will be a two part video over the 4 days of work required to complete wall.
Splitting large Rock for removal and re-use in a stone wall. Used hand tools and small Kubota.

Large sandstone rock in yard needed moved. Rock was too large for equipment I had. Using Feathers and wedges split rock into smaller pieces. Will use smaller pieces to build wall. Tools used, hammer drill, concrete bit, feather and wedges, small sledge, digging bar and Kubota.
Building a stand for Hammock chairs, can also be used for Porch Swings, and Hammocks.

Building a stand to mount two hammock chairs. This job includes digging, setting 2 post, leveling posts, mixing and pouring concrete, a simple woodworking joint and enjoying the swings. This stand could also be used around fire pits for porch swings. Also could be use for Hammocks, just ensure enough width between posts.

I purchased a cheap harbor freight box to add to my trailer. Problems with pre-drilled holes and supplied hardware. Drilled holes to match my trailer frame and found some hardware in garage.

I got one of those construction markers for Christmas and absolutely L.O.V.E. it! I got a standard graphite lead and a white and a yellow. They're easy to change. I can pick the one that is most visible and no more squinting for my mark! Nice project. I'm a firm believer in using what you've already got on-hand.

Beautiful . What are you planting? I'm from Johnstown. P A. Now I'm in scalding AZ. I keep a small garden of wildflowers , and try to keep the weeds at bay during monsoon.
I have a little of everything cucumbers, squash, lettuce, tomatoes, snap peas, carrots, kale and beets. Weeds are always a challenge. Keep growing!

We have 2 500 sq ft garden spaces and a plethora of grow bags to use, however, I am also an in ground planter. We are currently transplanting onion seedlings and adding carrots next to them. Peas, radishes, kale, spinach, and potatoes have been in a few weeks now up here in the Berkshires, MA. Still coddling tomato and eggplant seedlings, Couple more weeks. We were late this year, but they are doing great! Squash, beans will all direct sew in a couple of days. Temps just getting into high 70s low 80s this week. Unfortunately, we lost 90 potential heads of garlic. Smothered with too much leave cover when they popped up in mid December. Should be winter here then. I enjoy your channel! Peace
