Aside from the shitty mask used by Michael in this movie, with the eyes WAY too visible, and the hair sticking up, this movie was actually decent. I might sound crazy, but I loved the mask used in Halloween 4. People complained that it was pure white and "too clean". But, I loved how the pure white contrasted with the blackness of the eyes. Halloween 4 was, lowkey, maybe the scariest of the sequels, in my opinion. But, in terms of story, this one did Laurie Strode justice. So did the 2018 reboot.

How did he miss?

I went to see this movie opening weekend to a mostly full theatre, there were people yapping constantly, including the three friends I brought. When this scene happened everyone in that theatre shut up all at once. We all watched him pull the mask over and there was complete bone chilling silence. It made the trunk slam that much louder and for 4-5 seconds the only sound that was echoing off the theatre walls was his breathing. Legendary movie and scene.
