Kurt Gegenhuber at www.celestialmonochord.org: "I'm now convinced that the single most important vehicle delivering Harry Smith's peculiar message to Dylan in those early days - the widest pipeline between Harry and Bob - was The New Lost City Ramblers. I'm also convinced that it matters, this missing what I think of as 'The Ramblers Step.'"

Bob Dylan changed the line "You bastard, I'm supposed to respect you?" in the song "Pay in Blood" when he performed it in 2013. This change creates a connection to another one of his songs.

Bob Dylan and the Hillbillies on Speed
Amazing finds! Do you think Dylan might have borrowed from Charlie Ryan’s Hot Rod Lincoln for Summer Days? It contains the lines, “got 12 cylinders and using them all. Its got overdrive and it just won’t stall”. Later versions by Johnny Bond and Commander Cody change it to 8 cylinders.
later in the song "I knew I could catch him and hoped I could pass but when I did I'd be short on gas". Just saying...
Thank you!
well spotted
lol so funny
that awning was not Anchored down right I have one it's the same type of one and I had it up and it held fast with 80+ MPh winds and rain so no reason why that fell
incase if that happen again you really need to go out in the tent if you didnt get out you might blow out by the tent
I know. They just sit there with no clue at all that the tent MIGHT fall over

The awning my friend, is blowing in the wind The awning is blowing in the wind
WHOA HA HA HA HA HA HA THAT BIG WIND STORM
8:12 are those 2 in the chairs stupid or what? They want to get hit by the tent?
these people that are standing anywhere near that tent dont understand how dangerous these things can be when the wind gets them if u look closely when it finally picks up it pulls the stake right out of the ground and tosses it and the leg to who knows where.....i was cringing watching people let there kids run around anywhere near that thing....these things are really dangerous in extreme winds...if they would have used 50 gallon water drums on each leg this "may have not" happen but mother nature is no joke
lmaooo Dylan... love and THEFT is right! what a troll savant. Great video!
Dang
Wow! Those are some extreme winds!
11 minutes in is when it goes
They must be stupid....area should have been cleared of people, flying debris could have hit and killed people!!!
What song is that that starts around 3:00 and sounds like "Tweedlen Dum?"
The song is "Uncle John's Bongos" ruclips.net/video/IrPUl7y55Wo/видео.html
Looks to be a strong outflow from the storm in the distance, yes they can spread out that far
Nature in the raw is seldom mild.
My husband and I got out before it was completely down. This happened when Liz Madden was singing. .. Scary!
What a great Folk Festival in Burque until the Mighty Wind arrived. May the four winds blow everybody safely home again.
Amazing sudden wind. A blessing that all were out of the tent and no one was hurt. Showed up for Ramblin' Jack and sorry to miss that legend. Kudos to camera man for capturing this when there is no mention of it in the Albuquerque Journal
Seems like Bob listened to Willy Deville...
No need to hit us over the head with the same bits over and over again.
"Originality is overrated" well Marcus, you officially said the dumbest thing I ever saw on the internet. Real Punk is better then new fake pop punk emo,Original Horror movies are better then there remakes. I agree classical music is boring and that Rockabilly/RandB were better than its influences and Psychobilly is some what new and its the best music there is but, USUALLY the original is way better. Listen to Hassel Atkins or any old country it sounds a lot better then any new Country
That's why its called Love and Theft.
It may just be a bit of fun Bernard. If, on the other hand it’s not; might I just say that originality is overrated - and before someone gets on their high horse, I’m not talking about anything but Saturday night music. Who the hell wants to dance to Beethoven...who can?
Would American music be anywhere near as prolific as it has been without the influence that ‘plundering’ brings? Just think of the way Ray Charles took ideas from Gospel music and created something entirely of his own - to name but one.
What's your point, Ian?
Well done. Great research. Definitely Love and also Theft!
The point of this being what exactly?
