Gemmy Sam The Snowman - Large Variant
This is the same one I uploaded in late 2022. This is gonna be a very lengthy description.
I bought this off eBay around August of 2022 for about $50 or so - it was still in the box. When I received it, the mouth was snapped off the inside of the head. While I was fixing it the sound cut out - I wasn't sure why, and nothing seemed to be off the board or speaker. I didn't replace components often at this time so I sent it to VDC Tech Guy when he was still around and it randomly started working again, and even then he didn't do a lot to it when it started working again. So then..it was sent back to me and it worked for about 5 minutes and reverted to being silent again. 🙄

Before receiving this I had no clue this was a festive fellas lol - there are a number of versions of this thing too with different songs and designs. This one uses the up on the housetop recording from the Merry Mice. I had to replace a gear in the antlers as well as fix the lights on the right antler.

If you watch it all the way through, you'll notice that the batteries are near dead at the end 💀 I'm not recording alla that again lmao This one was made in 2011 and had some issues when I got it, for starters the rubbery button was literally missing completely, the motor was super noisy and the speaker was going out. The very strange 2012 model with a plush snowflake instead of plastic. Obviously it's a major downgrade from the plastic one - but that's why I got it, these ones don't seem that easy to come across. Needed a new speaker and gear in mech. Dances to "We Wish You A Merry Christmas"

I got this in a lot of 2 with another Lucy. It needed a new button, gear and speaker, which seems to be a common issue with these later models of the mini characters.. His nose was also sewn very close to the mouth so I recentered it. Dances to "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas"

2009 Variant - I got this a few months back and it originally did not move at all lol. All the gears were split and the motors were locked up. I ended up fixing everything in one night and now it works great, though Charlie tends to get stuck sometimes. This definitely isn't my favorite generation of this scene - I would've much preferred the 2008 version. I'm not a big fan of how it warps lol....
