The "explorer" group from the 2011 Salsa Meets Jazz class at the University of Richmond filmed, wrote, and edited this 10 minute mini-documentary. In short, the film explores how salsa is a way of life for Puerto Ricans. All footage was shot in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

great doco, congrats...very informative.
Congrats guys, this is a great approach to salsa with great footage but, you guys are telling the story from your prospective as puerto ricans. which makes it half true. You never mentioned Cuba rhythms as part of the music you dance. Puerto rico had played a very important roll in what we call now days as SALSA but, when you went 400 years back on the times you missed a key piece of this story which is Cuba. The name of your documentary should be SALSA A WAY OF LIFE FOR PUERTO RICANS.
