Can I still run a 2:52 at the London Marathon?
One of the toughest challenges during marathon training is avoiding injuries and somehow I was unable to do that. The good news is, it's only the beginning of marathon training. The bad news is, it during marathon training and there's a lot of rehab to be done. Luckily I have some friends on my side like Dr. Lisa and as always my coach to help me through this. One thing I will say is, I will cross that finish line at the London Marathon. Will I do it in 2 hours and 52 minutes though? That's TBD.

Training for the London Marathon: Episode 4

This week's runs included more treadmill miles than I thought, but the snow and icy conditions made the decision easier to move things indoors. Honestly though, the treadmill miles seem more difficult than outdoors. It's a completely different mental game. Still putting in the work though. There's no shame in using the treadmill. It's a powerful tool for runners. Filmed on: Gopro Hero 9 iPhone ...

London Marathon training is officially underway and if there's one thing that most runners can count on for training in the winter (in the northeast)... it's the weather. Sometimes as runners it can feel like we're alone.... the only ones out there training in the bitter cold. Some may think we're crazy, but something we can always count on is knowing that we're not truly alone. This episode ki...

Its 15 degrees, feels like 9 here in NYC 😭 I'll be running inside this week.... I keep my treadmill runs to time based (~30 minutes) so I don't go crazy and use the extra time to get in some gym work.

I took two weeks off after NYC before running again. This week is just very easy effort for around 30 minutes. I like taking up an activity not related to running between training cycles. Its usually bike riding but this time its pickball (which I am terrible at! 😆). But its nice to play and get a mental break before jumping back into training.

I have a massager that I’m using pretty often. I’m running my second marathon in December and I hope to knock off a significant amount of time compared to my first marathon. I just don’t understand how I’ll do it because I’m spending the majority of time running easy miles.

As a vegan runner from Mesa, prepping for my first marathon (Mesa Marathon), I’ve got to say what a great job you did with this video! I had just run my first half, the Rock & Roll AZ half, and was curious about what my next challenge would be when I learned the Mesa Marathon is during some of the most beautiful months of the year. When it rolled around a few weeks later and realizing the cold and wet weather for the event I remember thinking man, what a crappy year for the marathon, those poor runners, the weather was awful. Your video proved that while the weather can dampen the spirit, it’s still worth it. Next time you need to try out Green New American, best vegan wings in the world. Also Mayas Cajun kitchen pop up, best Cajun/po-boys.
