He spent 6 hours with me and gave me 4-1/2 hours of video with him and couldn't have been nicer. He was a great guy to be around and talk with. Thank you Dave! Enjoy this one!

No, not the parking brake shoes
Great video. Living in El Dorado Springs, I’ve known Gary and The Boss since the Lil KW days. Great tribute to the legacy and involvement he had with the world of truck pulling and Motorsports in general.
thanks much & more to come with Gary too, thanks for watching!
In the Tuff Traxx toys the red tractor I took it as Pat Freels Dollar Devil.
Good thought, it may be, I don't remember
Thank you for capturing this history!
You're welcome, there's so much history and memories in those albums. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic Video of true legends in our motorsport! Great job Rob Guy's Garage! I remember watching them at Buck Tractor Pulls in the 70's with their single blown Banter Bros. Brown & Orange tractors throught the years and the multi engine rides later on. Last Time I seen them in person pulling was Ft. Recovery, Ohio early to mid 90's.
Thanks much, the thumbnail is my photo of them at The Buck, thank you for letting me use a few of your clips too. Part 2 is up also where we go through Dave's photo albums and memorabilia. Thanks for watching!
@@robguysgarage5422 yea watched part 2 last night. Another awesome video. Looking forward to #3. Also enjoyed Jaske's and the Blue Max videos. Keep up the great history work! You are welcome to any footage we have.
Awesome, thanks much!
What’s the grey stuff you add before putting the rotor on
It's called anti seize and available at any auto parts store, it helps prevent things from sticking for the next time you do the brakes
How to align the headlight settings, high and low beam
Not sure, really haven't looked at that
So glad I found this channel. Awesome work. Dave is the Richard Petty of tractor pulling. Richard would sign his autograph and said he didn't see it saying Richard Petty he saw saying thank you for buying a ticket because he understood just like Dave without the fans there would have never been tractor pulling like we know it. Great video thanks for making these videos
Dave and Richard are true legends, I'm so glad I've gotten my picture with both of them, thanks for watching!

Merry Christmas to you and the family
Thanks and Merry Christmas to you too!
Thanks for the small shot of the '68 promod firebird! The paint is incredible!!!
Love the paintwork on that car, the grill and headlights. It was hard to believe it was airbrushed. It looked so real
Always wanted to go to ethier sema or the PRI show thanks for the vid
It's well worth it to go, it's massive, thanks for watching!
@robguysgarage5422, is the little lights in the engine bay recently added for showing off the truck? And did the owner of the truck say when he would get the truck running again?
I believe they are for show, he started it up and got it running earlier this year
@robguysgarage5422, after seeing the video about the old girl it git me wondering? What's the trick to keeping her going and staying all original
It stays in covered storage the whole time it's not being used, thanks for watching!
Thumbnail vehicle at 8:04 and legend vehicle at 9:03
Thanks for watching!
@robguysgarage5422, is that the original diamond T truck or a replica?
It's the same one from the 80's
That at the end hurts to hear so that makes the time I saw it in Joplin Missouri in 2019 just that much more dear to me
Glad it made a great memory for you, thanks for watching!
Great information
I appreciate that, thanks for watching!
Do you know what happened to the Orange Blossom Train?
Terry Woodcock in California has it and he and his crew got it running a few months ago and now they are working on the body work
Do you know or heard anything about where Allen's boots are or what happened to them? I think that would be cool.
I would imagine his wife Jody has them, I don't think she would get rid of those
It would be cool to see them. I remember watching all these trucks in the 80's. It's so awesome what you are doing! Thank you.
Do you know what happened to the original Orange Blossom Special? Thank you for your time and videos.
I found your video! I should have looked a little harder before asking, sorry just got excited. Does anyone know what happened to Allen's boots?
If you mean the actual train, I've heard it's in Orlando Florida, thanks for watching!
Ok cool, I love that you love the videos!
Yes the actual train on the bulldozer type tracks. That would be a cool video.
Do you think the 06 and up hatch handles would fit in the First gen PT Cruisers? thinking about retro fitting the electric ones in mine, My handle has been broken for a while now. The bone yard is full of Pts with broken ones also
I really don't know, maybe buy a cheap one off of eBay and see if it fits I guess
In the early to mid 70's my Dad and I attended several Indy Super Pulls. I agree with Dave's characterization of trying to put on a good show. IIRC, he smoked as he staged his tractors at that time, his signal, to the officials, that he was ready to go was always flipping the cigarette off to the side. Then off he went. Great video, thx.
Love this, he's a great guy, thanks for watching!
I had an opportunity to to buy 2 for $750 that were clean and running ! In a garage when I was young !!!! Definitely one of my dream builds!!!!!
I bet you wish you had bought them now, but they are still around, thanks for watching!
@ I love the Jeeps ! I own a decked out CJ 7 but I still want a sweet old Jeep Truck !
A few suggested upgrades: A GM Dana 60 Front Axle. Crossover steering form ORD. A 14 bolt rear. The stainless firewall veneer? Electric fans if it’s still running hot. I imagine it might need panhard rods & a stabilizer for the front axle, does it get death wobble?
He told me the front end goes straight as an arrow but it took a long time to get it there, thanks for watching
My great uncle is Gary Cook, he had the Elite Pete as an exhibition pulling vehicle, he also who owned the original Equalizer monster truck
Wow, what a connection to this history, thanks for watching!
This is great, brings back memories, you are a true pioneer on these videos!!!
Thanks so much, more coming too and thanks for watching!
Awesome Truck !
It really is, thanks for watching!
Thank you! Watched this to refresh my memory on the job.
You're welcome, glad it helped!
the bud boss was always my second favorite truck.......orange blossom special was always my favorite
I did a walk around of the OBS also, thanks for watching!
Amazing spot in time !!! Loved watching this truck pulling sleds !! Sorry Gary for your loss . That’s a tragedy
Absolutely, thanks for watching!
Europe has most of our old pull tractors and still running them like they were designed to run not like most today's U.S. pulling where they baby the tractors. I've been to 2 pulls in Ashford and Canterbury in the UK and it was like sitting in the stands back in the 70s and 80s were the guys ran the tractors for all they had. Today here in the states pulling isn't anything like it use to be , half the time you go to pulls and see multiple engine tractors only running 1 or 2 engines and now they shut tractors down as soon as they hit the full pull line even if the tractor is still moving and you see so many just baby the tractors. I remember John Shaul back in the 80s taking a sled completely around the track at the fair and today you just don't see the stuff these old guys did, I mean look at Milt Bergman's tractor with seat in front and Art Arfons sitting in the middle of 2 turbines and these guys ran the tractors for everything they had it was a different time.
I loved all the combinations the guys came up with in the 80's too, thanks for watching!
@robguysgarage5422 I loved the 80s growing up around the pulls. My family was close friends of the Shaul family and I worked on their farm for a few years and Harry Wyckoff who was into the tractors with John Shaul was a distant relative of ours so I got to grow up around the tractors and met a lot of the drivers and got to hang out in the pitts as a kid and help where I could and then later on my father worked with the Larue family who has The Milk Can Express truck so I got to hang out with rhem right when they went from the tractors to the truck. I got to see a lot of the old stuff up close and even sit in and on a lot of it. I remember riding through the pitts on Art Arfons' tractor at Bowling Greens back in 82 or 83 it was a big thing to get to ride on a pull tractor as a child. I miss the way pulls use to be in the 70s and 80s where they built anything and then ran it for everything it had. You got to see Things come apart and got to see sleds be taken way beyond the full pull line.
Gary Collins and The Bud Boss = Truck and Tractor Pulling Legends I miss The 80's lol
Completely agree, thanks for watching!
Saw the Bud Boss at the truck pulls at The Pontiac Silverdome in the 90s.❤
It was an awesome truck, thanks for watching!
Oh man, so sad.

You didnt evennfo the brearing.. brain dead ... you had someonenelse do it.
Sad! That truck should be in a museum! It's inside but still rotting away.

Wow very cool machines. My favorite was the Jeep and bud boss of course. Makes me think now that the designs coming out of hot wheels aren’t so extreme from the real thing
Yup, they're awesome machines, thanks for watching!
Damn you don't screw around do you you go wherever wherever the action is
I'll travel as far as I have to to talk to these guys, thanks for watching!
