Yes meets Abba! Very good track!
Vaya calidad de trabajo. Excelente. Mucha felicidad a usted. Gracias.
When it comes to music you either like it or you don't you know that within the first 10 seconds that you're listening to it to try and convince people that they should like certain songs. Usually means that the songs themselves are having trouble being recognized as great right from the beginning they either are or they are and why would you have a conversation and trying to convince people that songs are worth while listening to just are them just play them and if it's any good people will tell you if they're not people will not tell you. Take it from me one who worked loved enjoyed and lived FM radio from 1971 to the end of genuine music in 1997😅
Yeah Sean Khan is great!!!
You should really listen to. Is this the life... which is a fairly straightforward rock song but with s guitar god solo.. which justs makes you subtley realise the greatness
Sounds exactly like HOLY LAMB from Big Generator ruclips.net/video/Tno-uymF-9c/видео.htmlsi=1n64cK0inStvHzTu
Surprised more haven't commented on this the Cardiacs have one of the most rabid fanbases of anyone. They are madly influential with people like Mike Patton, blur, Radiohead, napalm death, voivod, Justin Hawkins, tool, dave grohl, steven wilson, wildhearts(they even recorded a song calked Tim Smith were they proclaimed him to be the greatest human being ever)amongst many others are massive fans. I had the misfortune of having them be the first gig i ever went too over 30 years ago and few have ever lived up to them, the glory that is Tim Smith RIP our leader in the starry skies cannot be overstated brilliant in everway a simple mix of progressive, punk, folk, classical, psychedelic, art rock pop music. Yhe greatest hits is a bad move start with the first proper album and work forwards or check out the concert all that glitters is a mares nest which has all the early essential classics and enjoy you will ever love them or hate them
Thank you for sharing the link Charlie Zero and your recommendations. We may not always agree but we always respect. I love you, man!
I play keyboards for Brian. Thanks for the kind words
Cardiacs are a great band, with a lot more variety in their output than suggested here. Stonage Dinosaurs is a melancholy ballad, whilst Dirty Boy is a cosmic heavy-rocking hymn to self-gratification All points covered between.
Aw what a lovely surprise! Thank you so much Murray for coming by on Friday and giving my music a shout out ❤
always a pleasure to see Ellyn read her work.
Thank you for sharing. I have bought this CD, and met her here in Oslo after Christmas concert. Wonderful woman ! and what singer's voice ! - Miss those days with and right after Mike Oldfield (playing wonderful solo guitar here) Greta Oldfield the daughter is already a gorgeous and a grown up young woman
No! No! No! Don't get the greatest hits rubbish. Listen to the first six tracks of Sing to God, the greatest album of all time. ruclips.net/video/ax9yT3t1jSI/видео.html If that doesn't hook you, then you are a lost soul who must regretfully move on. If, on the other hand, it only whets your appetite for more, then you are a lost soul who must regretfully listen to more. So, erm, listen to more. But first, this.
Pedant alert: It's "Cardiacs" without the definite article, not "The Cardiacs." Cardiacs faithful who know this and take great pains to point this out are called "pondies," a reference to a lyric from Foundling: "He would give himself ten showers a day in the murky ponds and weedy rivers."
I know what you're thinking, but no, it's not a cult. We are all perfectly free to leave whenever we wish, and unrestricted contact is allowed with family and friends (within reason). Though I can't imagine why anyone would want to, of course.
It’s Jane Weaver…She’s great. And Cardiacs are indeed the world’s most underrated band. Music has never been the same since I found them in 1989.
'PromoSM'
One of Pat Simmon's very best lead vocals!
Yep! Even if I could sing it, I would still need a marathon runners lungs to get it all out.
Yes! While I'm not sure I agree that these albums are either the artists' best or their respective categories best, they are their most important works. Art is about communication and sharing observations, especially literature, poetry, and songwriting. Everyone has questions and fears about death. It is important to have artists who have large followings and platforms to share their experiences with the approaching end of their lives to share what they're going through in dealing with it. Zevon lamenting his moral failings in 'Dirty Life and Times' and Bowie furiously writing to beat the clock in the video for 'Lazarus' are just two great insights into their minds and experiences. Zevon especially hit it out of the park with 'The Wind.'
I am a huge Gary Wright fan. But sometimes artists seem to bend over backwards to make something that's on The Cutting Edge of what's hip, and it's a swing and a miss.
Exelente !!!
Perfect Eurovision song!
A crime this album is not better known in America. It's full of great songs and singing.
🤔 "promosm"
Roy Buchanan was beyond the rest of them. He was easily the greatest guitarist of the era. 50 s 60s and 70s. He played effortlessly. His magic was putting his soul into every note every bend screams like a dying whale. His pain and tortured soul comes through his Telecaster to a level that leaves you stunned. I'm 65 and have seen many of the greatest perform live Roy Buchanan could of been the biggest of all. He never cared about fame or being wealthy only did his thing. God has him now.....that lucky Son of a Gun.
I was at the the Free John Sinclair concert at Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor in 1971. Among the acts were Bob Seger and Stevie Wonder. Everyone was stoned. John and Yoko were the final act, coming on at 2AM. We could have done without Yoko's screaming. John's only appearance in Michigan. When I heard the Stooges, I thought they were a joke. They played the same chord over and over again. Iggy Pop was trying to be Jim Morrison without the poetry or the verbal chops. Later i learned to love them.
Thanks gentlemen for such kind and educated comments about these records of Bob's! I am honored by you! Stay tuned-we'll most likely do some more! Cheers!
Thanks, Fred! I knew very little about him other than Elusive Butterfly, which I owned as a single. The John Hartford comparison is a good one.
excellent comparison!
I totally agree! Been a fan of Nellie for years! And have the Doris Day album and My Weekly Reader as well as other albums of hers.
Thanks, Murray! I got her debut album, Get Away from Me, which you flashed, and really liked it.
Wonderful music
Great choices, Don! I almost included 3 Moody Blues albums.
I always recommend Waka/Jawaka, the title track of the album of the same name to Zappa newbies.

Thank you!
I've met Tracey on several occasions and had her sign my stuff, both EBTG and her solo albums - she's lovely and very down to earth.

Fairport, NY is the music Mecca of Monroe county.
thank you.
Awesome 😎
Nobody has heard anything from her for 11 years!!! Is she still alive. You guys don't seem to know anything about her at all. Sounds like you just came across her RUclips site.
I listen to this music for the first time in 1994 in Brazil. Remember as today.
The demo rocks harder than the release. Crank it!
True.
This belongs on one of RidingEasy Records' "Brown Acid" comps....
