On April 26, 1964, The Beatles headlined the New Musical Express 1963-64 Annual Poll-Winners’ All-Star Concert, performing before a crowd of 10,000 at the Empire Pool in Wembley, London. This marked their first live appearance in 15 weeks. The concert, filmed by ABC Television, was broadcast in two parts under the title *Big Beat ’64*, with The Beatles' performance featured in the second part. It aired on Sunday, May 10, from 4 to 5 PM, and included footage of the group receiving their NME awards from actor Roger Moore. The venue, originally known as the Empire Pool since its opening in 1934, was renamed Wembley Arena in 1978.
