East Carolina University Chamber Singers
Добавлен 28 окт 2011
The award-winning and nationally acclaimed "ECU Chamber Singers" are the select choral ensemble at East Carolina University. They are comprised of 34-40 auditioned singers, many of whom are voice majors from within the School of Music. The group tours annually and has performed by invitation at regional and national conferences of the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education. The Chamber Singers have also produced two professional CD recordings on the Gothic label: Greater Love and Eternal Light. They maintain a rigorous rehearsal and performance schedule, and focus predominantly on unaccompanied choral literature suitable for advanced chamber choir under the baton of Dr. James Franklin.

If heaven had an entrance song
Psalm 84
So lovely
This is amazing! I wish I could get the lyrics too. I need to understand the beautiful words better. I'm sure I'd appreciate it more.
Outstanding, I sang this piece my freshman year at the university of Michigan and has remained a cherished musical memory.
Beautiful, My God!
The low note at 3:02 for the basses is insane. Kudos for being able to reach it, project it, and sing it without losing intonation!
This sounds like it could have been in the Battlefield 1 Soundtrack. Beautiful ❤️
343 should employ them to work on the next halo game
Came across this on Instagram and didn’t stop searching until I found the whole thing. Just excellent. Bravo. 👏
Same, just amazing.
Same
This is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard! 😭 😭 So anointed!!
Wow - this was very impressively done!!!
Bravi tutti!
I found out about this choral group unexpectedly yesterday morning through a broadcast on KERA Dallas. I am completely blown away with the quality of the performance and it is especially meaningful in that one of my three children had graduated from ECU. My heartfelt thanks for the group and its outstanding contribution to preservation of choral music. Keep up the good work!
exceptional!!!
Spectacular
I LOVE THIS
Stunningly sung and produced. I can’t believe I haven’t heard this work

To die for!
I am an ECU alumni, but, am wondering how you you can have a choral without eastern North Carolinas most precious voices, our African-American ladies, whose voices are the true connection to the Angels
It's the Spirit of the East
The angels are smiling! Great work!
My Italian neighbors were having sex and this is exactly what it sounded like.
Love the progressions. I found myself almost holding my breath to hear the resolutions. Marvelous.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Thank you for sharing the piece. I listen to this to bring me peace when I am stressed.
Nice
These white ppl lol
Good grief
We killed this :)
Amazing! Oh, I love it.
I sung this for years and loved it. Listening to it after leaving that choir makes me break down in tears
I see you are in Tolosa. The City in the basque country where I was born...abf I see San Sebastián also. Beautiful! Increíble performance 🎶🎶🎶

Beautiful voices! And wonderful performance 🇸🇪😊👍
Beautiful song and the performance just perfect 🇸🇪👍😊
A breathtaking performance. For a long time I was looking for a choir that would perform this piece in a way close to perfection, and this is it. Excellent dynamic mastery. Bravo!
Pretty!
brilliant. this made me cry! the balance was perfect and thank you Dan Forrest for this amazing song.
Wspaniałe wykonanie! :D dziękuję <3
Who is the composer of this arrangement?
Never mind! I see now it's at the start of the video
Today high school choir came to my school and sang this and it brought me to tears.
This song makes me want to die when I listen to it alone. I feel like everything has been accomplished, even though it has not, and I am flashing briefly through memories before I die. The second time they go through ‘warm summer sun’, and the altos fall behind with a ‘shine kindly here’, and it all echoes like the grief of my friends and family interlocking who would miss me. I think of the legacy I would leave behind and it would be next to nothing because there isn’t anything notable I have accomplished, as I’ve only let the soft animal of my body love what it loves; music, beauty, art; and have not stirred up drama in my life, shy as I am. I feel a deep poetic connection to this song even if it makes me want to die. Thank you for letting me live in my darkest feelings for a good couple of minutes, sometimes that’s all we need to realize the importance of life and the fragility of it.
