Best way to rig a trailer hook on a spinnerbait
A couple years ago I posted this quick little trailer hook rigging trick on my kayak fishing Facebook group.
Figured it was a good time to let everyone know about it since its the time to start slingin’ blades around shad eaters.

Dang that was a monster
Any vids on how you fish it on the water? Looks awesome!
Not as of yet. Not sure how i would do that unless i coax another fool into riding along and filming for me lol. Twitch twitch twitch fast and let it drop. Repeat. Sometimes they really need a lot of drops. Sometimes they want it “running away from them”
Fishin for crappie?
No sir! Mostly small spotted bass but bigguns show up and surprise you too!
@@fergfish100 wish we had spots and smallies where I fish...LM thats it.
in the early 90s, there used to be a tiny Slug-Go looking bait called the Merlo Worm. It was no more than 2" and even had the notches in the sides too. Always deadly and effective on big bass, mojo rigged (split shot or cylinder weight), nose hooked and flat side down. Laminated Blue and Brown was all you ever needed.
I’ll have to look that one up!! I also use a Zoom Centipede sometimes and it works great too. Really floppy!
Nice rig thanks for sharing Do you like the Excel FC line I haven’t used it before Thanks
Yessir it works pretty well. On the whole its a slightly stiffer fc than others but it holds well for what I use it for. Seaguar seems to be the smoothest ive found so far though
man I knew I should of rigged this and I stick with the bigger fluke.
You work with my brother in law
