Y’all touch on a lot of stuff about content and how to go about streaming in the last 30-40 minutes of the pod. Just wanted to list some things that turn me away as someone that’s a consumer on all fronts and that doesn’t stream. When I turn on a stream and no one is playing a game, they’re sitting there chatting with people. That holds no entertainment value. I tuned in to see a person interacting with this game and to laugh, cry, celebrate triumphs and experience that GAME with the streamer. That’s said, and something you all touched on with “pilot episode energy”, viewers have literally hundreds of options of what to watch these days. However, I think one of the biggest flaws is these massively long streams. To analogize it, when I turn on RUclips and look for something to watch, rarely do I click on a video that’s over 30 minutes because the likelihood is I’m not gonna sit still that long. Why would the majority of people treat watching a stream any different? This is a huge part of why episodic tv series with long stories are so prevalent today. If I were to start streaming I’d keep that in the forefront of my mind. Just my two cents, and probably terribly flawed, but from the outside looking in, that’s my knee jerk reaction. Thoroughly enjoyed the episode.

Probably gonna leave multiple comments and I hope that’s okay. So much I would add to all of these conversations. Firstly, to Aztekin, I never learned Spanish because I was kicked out of class with my best friend daily and sent to the library where we would link up our Gameboy Advances and trade Pokémon on Ruby/Sapphire. Secondly, Mario Kart 64, balloon battle, block fort. I’d take that over Goldeneye 10 times out of 10. Finally (for now) when it comes to streamers starting from the bottom, I personally dont think it’s wise to stream exclusively anywhere. If you have the capabilities to stream on Kick, Twitch, RUclips, TikTok and wherever else, why wouldn’t you? The whole goal is exposure and expanding audience, is it not? Educate me! 😂
