It's a lose-lose, but for a brief moment in time, V could reach the pinnacle of mankind's strength without any drawbacks.

QianT Sandevistan Mk.4 from Fingers the Ripperdoc. I added Heatsinks to every mod slot to bring the cooldown for the Sandy to 8.5 seconds. If you have crafting perks, you can get it down even lower with Legendary Heatsinks. As for other cyberware - get stuff that increases your melee swing speed and damage. Happy edgerunnin'.
The sandy will always be in my top 10 for mods because if you're really screwed in a certain situation it can give you a good second chance. Plus slowing time is fun.
In-game we can see that Johnny's engram allows V to Chrome up to the maximum just like Atom smasher. It's is an interesting question that adds to the thematic layering, especially after witnessing the masterful storytelling in edgerunners. Very rarely does an adaptive, auxiliary story enhance its source material, but edgerunners surpasses it and enhances it, and I love them both even more now

you can still chrome up to the max without the engram, if you realistically had the money to, and somehow got a lvl 50 streetcard and level
