Just a guy who's into cars
How much does it REALLY cost to own a car?
We all know cars can be expensive, but do you know how much that new ride is really costing you?

2007 NC Mazda Miata Review

My review of the 2007 Mazda Miata hardtop convertible 6 speed manual
Car and driver magazine in 2003 recorded 0 to 60 in 10.9 seconds and the top speed of 107 mph. Just FYI.
The first generation Honda Insight also had the option of a manual transmission 👍
I sold mine for $1,100 too many problems the transmission is too weak driving on hill also flywheel failed I replaced it...
This cars have OEM flywheel and battery problem.Parts prematurely start failing. ...
I was abt to go buy me one today but I change my mind😢😢
Hey, I have a black 03 Z and love it! I noticed with your ghetto mod air filter that water can run in through the crack in the front hood joint and get the filter wet. They make a black gasket that sticks to the nose cone joint where the screws are and seals to the hood, preventing water and dirt infiltration, to keep your filter dry! FYI
Hey, is that green coolent? 😮
Fast forward to 2023....and I bought one of these here in Northern Ireland. I love it. Does exactly what it claims to and is the most motoring fun I've ever had. A mod I did which is so simple is a leather steering wheel cover. The wheel was very smooth through wear so this undoubtedly helps my grip and control. It's winter here so the roof still goes down when it's not raining. A warm hat is a must over here....Great, straightforward review Michael 👍🏻I endorse it 100%.
Hey buddy do you still have the c5 z06?
Stop comparing the Miata to other cars! It's a Miata. It's in a class all of its own! It incomparable! Once you comprehend that you will understand what it's all about! It's a vehicle that brings pleasure to the driver, the passenger is an accessory only. (My girlfriend is an accessory? )
I was told there's no such thing as a hybrid with manual transmission. Thanks for proving them wrong! (Yea I should have just checked online earlier, but thanks for your video!)
Great review...just become the proud new owner of a 2007 Miata in Stormy Blue! Do you have any particular recommendation for a smartphone holder? Is your phone attached to the dashboard or in the air or CD vent?
I subscribe you because I have 2008 Miata.
I think the stock seats are fine, the interior doesn't look "gross", and my Bose system sounds decent, maybe there is something wrong with yours.
Want 1 of those So Badly❗AWESOME VIDEO MAN, LIKE THE HAT TOO 👌
Imagine making this whole video and dogging on a hybrid vehicle built for fuel economy just to complain about its 0-60 time. Of course it’s “not very fast”, you’re under 100hp - which is why hypermiling these things will yield you over 60mpg if you do it right. Also this… 2004 wasn’t that long ago, and it’s amusing that you keep referencing it like it was some type of archaic period. Yes - it has climate control. So did some cars from the 1980s. This is not groundbreaking nor surprising. The vehicle is fantastic for exactly what it was built for: being affordable, economical, and kind to the environment. Mine has lasted 17 pleasant, trouble-free years… and over 320,000 miles. Not once have I ever attempted to throw it through curvy “canyon roads” and expected the performance of a race car, because that’s simply not what it’s designed to do. No one has ever expected performance from a HCH or sought after one to be a “weekend car.”
Most useful video I’ve watched in months! I didn’t know my car had a defeat switch for the trunk remote buttons. Thanks!
What is your tire size? I can read Bridgestone but for some reason see a mirror view of the dimensions. 205 something R17 88Y?
Don’t complain about the cup holders unless you have drives na miata way worse position then the nc 😂
I own a Miata 2002 since 2013..... and I love my red Convertable...... I use it for about 6 months every year.... She is my pride and joy....!!!!! BRAVO to Mazda for building the most popular sports car in the World...!!!!
I have a Genny and I want a Miata so bad 😂😂 idk why. People say they’re slow and I’m use to race every person out there so idk. I’ll go see one sometime this week. Hopefully we can get to something:)
Pipes are very crooked out back need to fix them then they will look really good 👍
They changed the final drive for the later NC. Anyone know what the revs are at 75mph in 6th gear?
The car is slow is because the gears really long gears. Do a display. I find the car does better above 60mph
I believe there is a ECU program to up the power up
I had one of these, but mine got stolen. It has 215/45/18. Made a HUGE difference. The OEM tires are sloppy.
Didnt even know they offer then manual? Are these like super rare?
Cant you regain some ride quality by going to smaller rims and using a bigger tire. My NB came with 17 inch MSM rims and they drove like champions but i had to butter up my ride by going down to 15s
Car insurance is sexsist #equality
Nice 👍
Cool bro cool 😁👍
I bought your same model and year last week after seeing your video
Congratulations! enjoy the car its so fun!
16 years and the batteries haven’t died
And it is still running fine
I have this car
If you have the 2004 model, how is your opinion on its reliability? Would recommend buying it with 160000km?
I owned an NC Miata for several years. I think they are really good cars. Of course, your average Toyota Camry will beat you in a drag race every time. And going at highway speeds was a tiresome ordeal. But on the bright side, the Miata was fantastic on curvy mountain roads. Just brilliant.
I bought mine from Oceanside ✌
Really? How much
Honestly one of the better reviews I’ve seen. No idiotic music, or “Please subscribe” in the first 5 seconds. Just informative and straight to the point
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
What stereo system is that?
Great review, and also great Miata. How annoying the engine sounds at 75mph in a highway? I saw u have like 3600 rpm...isn't it too loud ?
Thank you! It's definitely not quiet and the car overall does not have a ton of sound dampening in general. Fine for normal commute use, but doing a long highway roadtrip wouldn't be the most comfortable
It sounds good at 100 , tried it on the highway
If hybrids came stick I wouldn't mind
HI! Love the review! Do you still have this car? I am thinking of importing one from Japan, a 2006 model and also a retractable hardtop. What would you say the reliability of this car? I have an Volswagen Eos before (hard top 4 seater convertible) and it was money pit! spent about 5k on repairs on it, owned it for 2 years, put under 20,000kms since owning. And it only had 109,xxx kms when I got it...
Thanks for the comment and for watching! I do still own it - Miata's are known for being extremely reliable and the NC is no exception. I've done about 20,000 miles on the car in the last 4 years, and have taken it around a track a good number of times too, and there have been no issues. The only thing I've done to it are oil changes. The car is so light its very easy on the brakes and tires too
@@michaellau4856 thank you so much for the quick reply! Much appreciated all the way here from Winnipeg MB Canada!
Great hat !
I have an nc1, 6 speed, lsd, strut tower brace, etc. I think the steering feel is excellent and question whether I would be equally satisfied with the steering feel in the ND. Any views from others on the comparative steering feel of the NC vs. ND would be appreciated.
Wow you payed $8,000.00 for for that then I got a really good deal. I bought a 2006 NC MK3 in excellent condition with 40,000 miles for $4,000, and it's never been wrecked. But I really like that color.
Yeah that's a great deal - congrats! I probably paid about market price for mine out here in Southern California at the time in 2017 - convertibles tend to hold value really well out here!
Wow $4000 , cheap and super reliable
I have this car idk why im watching this
The low suspension makes it feel a bit faster than it is at low speed
I easily got 50mpg with this car in 2004 (CVT version). Who cares if it isn't fast? It gets people to where they are going with less gas used than a Giant SUV.
Were you genuinely saying the truth or you just don’t like CLA 250? I’m planning to get it ☹️
It's really not my favorite to be honest, but that's just my opinion. Before you buy I would check out the BMW 3 series, Audi A3/A4, and Mercedes C class, Lexus IS - all much better vehicles imo, but if you like the CLA you should get one!
I have a black 2018 Mercedes Benz CLA250 Turbo Coupe that looks much nicer and more bad ass than this one which does not have the AMG ground effects package, wheels or options like mine has. I disagree with this guy on most of his negative points, I love my CLA, it's pretty damn fast in Sport Mode and man does it turn heads.
@@iflyforfree Glad you like it, and thanks for the comment and for watching!
Tail lights are ovals not circles on that year. Try high 4's on 0-60 stock.
