M + K - Know Me // Tiny Desk 2024 Submission
Hello again! It's been a while since I uploaded.
Here is an original song I wrote and performed with my husband as a group we're calling M + K. I've been pretty busy in my daily life so I haven't had much time to record anything but I really wanted to submit something for Tiny Desk this year. It's a softer, sadder one so it might not be for everyone. I'm hoping I'll have more videos out closer to Summer that might be more of what people are looking for on my channel.

Hello! Been working on this reimagined cover of Special Girl for several months now. It's my first time taking a song into a whole other genre so it was really difficult to nail. My husband @marioCazares was essential in the process so I had to feature him and his guitar playing in the video to give him the credit he deserves :). Anyway, hope you like it!

Hello, this one's a tone change but it's a project that's meant a lot to me. This is a pretty old song now but I heard it for the first time this February. Been working on this cover for about a year since these vocals were crazy difficult. Both the screams and the cleans haha. First time trying a capella. So much respect for those artists because it makes you think about your voice and music in a totally different way. Since this was my first time it's mostly only basic stuff but it was a fun challenge! Might try it again sometime in the future.

Decided to do a cover of this song that I loved as a kid. I've always felt insecure or like I didn't "actually sing" because my voice is naturally softer, but I've realized that doesn't matter at all haha. I've learned to have stronger vocals when I want to now, but it's been fun re-discovering artists who have similar softer tones and playing around with the potential there.

Tried something very different and covered a song my fiancé loved growing up! We don't have a studio and we do have neighbors so cover audio was recorded over a few days (off camera, mostly in our car). Video footage is reperforming closely but discarding its audio.
