Do you mean for making the wax mould? It was silicone, or possibly latex.

after 30+ years of sculpting and producing resin bronzes at home, this great little video shows exactly why I've never been able to afford to go to true Bronze until now. So much time, and so many special skills required, makes foundry bronzes really something special. Thanks for sharing. I'm having a small sculpture of Three Hares cast locally, that I have to patinate. Everyday's a school day

Love the casting work but the original sculpture is awful
Apart from the brief glimpse at the sculpting /casting process, watching the rest of the video was akin to having teeth pulled.

It does make you wonder why so much effort to hide the actual bronze, could just as easily be cast resin..
Resin doesn't last. But yeah it could be resin to make cheap copies, if that's what the artist want (but I don't think it's the case).

I was lucky enought to spent the last hours of my Cornwall holiday in and around Coverack. I just happened to walk through the Sculpture Park and spent a good hour there and enjoyed the scultures from all angles. A great thing to experience which made for great memories.
