This piece is one of the shorter pieces in the set, lasting around 1.5 minutes. Thanks for watching! I will roll out the rest of the set soon #piano #music #prokofiev #classicalmusic
Relaxing Minimalism: Music for 18 Musicians - Pulses
Просмотров 1023 месяца назад
Music for 18 Musicians was a piece written by Steve reich between May 1974 - March 76, and premiered in April 1976. This piece is a landmark piece not only for Steve Reich but for Minimalism as a style. It is one of the most well known minimalist compositions, and is the culmination of various techniques Steve Reich had been developing (e.g Phasing and a slow addition of notes to form a melody)...
Prokofiev Sarcasms Op.17 (Taratushkin)
Просмотров 11 тыс.3 месяца назад
Prokofiev wrote the five movements between 1912-14, Originally titled 'Sarcastic Pieces' he shortened it to just 'Sarcasms'. The Sarcasms are notable for Prokofiev's exploration into modernism, and Prokofiev's use of loud 'wrong notes' is thought to be the sarcastic part of these pieces. If you have any suggestions for more pieces, feel free to comment them! The queue is growing so it might be ...
Prokofiev Piano Sonata 9 (Redkin)

This is an amazing recording by Sergei Redkin! Its 100% my favourite out of all recordings of this piece i've listened to! Feel free to leave a suggestion for a piece, i will try avoid doing recordings that people have already used in this format. Might do some more prokofiev soon! 0:00 Allegretto 8:30 Allegro Strepitoso 12:04 Andante Tranquillo 19:40 Allegro con brio, ma non troppo presto #cla...
Prokofiev Cadenza
Просмотров 19 тыс.4 месяца назад
This is the cadenza to Prokofiev's 2nd piano concerto. It is perhaps the most furious, intense and difficult cadenza there is, even rivalling the famous Rach 3 ossia cadenza! #classicalmusic #music #piano #pianomusic #foryou
Beethoven Piano Sonata No.23 'Apassionata' Coda
Просмотров 11 тыс.Год назад
This is a powerful coda from the 3rd movement of Beethoven's 23rd sonata. Beethoven's 23rd sonata is often regarded as one of his darkest pieces that he ever performed and the sonata as a whole is difficult to play both musically and technically. Full sonata: ruclips.net/video/txChVYmy4BI/видео.html #classicalmusic #beethoven #music #appasionataCoda
Taratushkin made the most headbanging performance out of others performance, goated articulation and dynamic control
Ravel's Rigaudon is better haha
Hold my fourths
Ну хоть пару четвертей с точкой написал бы.
Enjoyed the performances! Very well played and executed. However, I felt all the tempos were a little rushed.
@@AbandonedMines11 Glad you enjoyed it! 😁
i am a pianist and when I hear that I am like " how is that possible !"
such a bad recording to choose, it's much more difficult than rach 3's anyway
Well i do have to avoid big labels for obvious reasons
Masterpieces every one !
Who else hears the Jaws theme?
So scary
Любопытный опыт. Это авторская вещь? Кто автор или авторы?
Steve Reich
There it is, I found the cough that's expected in every live recording! 04:49
Well, this was fun. Playing in two keys at the same time? Not only could I never play these, I doubt I could even turn the pages competently for someone who could. “Precipitosissimo”? I can’t believe I’ve made it into my 60s without ever seeing that instruction in a piece of music!
👏👏👏
Sounds like Christmas
Key signature: Am I a joke to you?
How is the choice of key signatures not perfectly sensible here?
@@simonalbrecht9435 there is a lot of chromaticism, the comment is a joke. We are not attacking your precious Prokofiev
@@LeeChaosinlmfao
24:34 awesome fifth sounds
well spotted!
Lol, well I’m glad to make second comment. This is kick ass and one my favorite Prokofiev pieces, if that means anything. Let’s see I’ve heard of Penderecki, oh ok well how bout Beat Furrer? Dmitri smiriov, the composer…. I like G. Scelsi does that lend me any credit?
criminal to crop out the reentry of the orchestra
I've been a huge Prokofiev fan for years I can't believe I haven't heard these pieces yet, they're so unique!
I like Michel Beroff's rendition of the whole concerto with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra re-entering like a monster after that cadenza. The three first piano concerti of Prokofiev are my three favorite concerti of all piano concerti (3rd, 2nd and then 1st in that order). And his interpretations are my favorite.
Beroff is by far my favorite recording of the 2nd concerto, which is my favorite concerto of all.
Great vid! I’d love to see the 8th too - Davydchenko and Yuja Wang are both really great in my opinion. Curious to hear about your favourite recordings of that sonata!
I'll add it to my list!
@@Classical4Piano actually my favourite recording is by Bernd Glemser. Capital G Great recording! I’d highly advise you to check it out.
Просто замечательно!
❤
He had a lot of emotions, didn't he?
This was composed after his best friend decided to disappear and send him a letter just saying "goodbye" then unaliving himself.
A very good interpretation!
Oh nah💀
Wdym?
Как такое придумать и записать на ноты???
Gutiérrez is the best. Period.
@@BlintsonEcker-t5li don't think that's what he asked
Для гениальных композиторов музыка - это такой же язык, как для нас с вами - русский. Они думают музыкой, живут музыкой и могут услышать музыку, просто представив её в голове. Нам, простым смертным, такое не понять
best performance is nikolai petrov, lesser known but nobody gets the music like he does
Holy fucking shit tsu haiiiiii :3 Also have you heard Beroff or Zak
@@_b_moll haiiiiii :):):)):):) azzy here uwu also YES zaks is AMAZING as well
@@AzzyKujoZak is my second favorite I think, also haiiiii
Brilliant👏👏💯
Nice video 🎹
Lugansky sounds more exciting, probably because it is slower, focusing on Rubato and the precision of the notes
I got halfway through editing before realising I probably should have chose lugansky. Him and evgeny kissins recordings/interpretations are definitely superior
@@Classical4Piano Listen to Horacio Gutierrez's recording. In my opinion, it's practically perfect, and the sound engineering is top notch too.
@@Classical4Piano gutierrez is the one you want not lugansky's
Not the cleanest playing I've seen I'm sure Wang's is better. Though I do believe hers is way too fast.
Yuja Wang’s is actually noticeably slower than this one, except at the end.
@@mostafa12890 You're right. When I made this comment I didn't listen to the whole listen to the thing.
Lugansky>
Gutièrrez! Listen to Gutièrrez!!!
@@DayE114 this performance lacks any sort of depth and he just plays the notes with no emotion whatsoever...
Pianist?
Yundi Li
@@Classical4Piano really? his album with this piece is much cleaner than this recording
Amazing skibidi piano
What is coda?
This apparently
The ending
It’s like the big finale of a piece
@@tempeaq1821 oh thanks
@@Numberonesorabjifan every ending is called coda?
not a fan of the interpretation. you should've used emil gilel's or john ogdon's recording.
For me Richter's is the best
@@sylvanmingelen4975 Totally agree, I think Richter's interpretation of the coda is from another world. It is simply the best.
Feel Beethoven `s passion!!
Too fast.
Do you know the meaning of ‘presto’???
dont show bro gilels recording 💀@@lch917
Not at all.
Bruh its literally presto😱
Please view the video in the description! The full sonata is amazing and this video is just a cropped version (to arguably the best part)
Hello! Decided to improve last weeks short and made it a bit more colourful. Sorry for the abrupt ending, the full performance is: ruclips.net/video/GhBXx-2PadM/видео.htmlsi=FQvVVGDOB9YFoxOJ (Yuja Wang) Next short coming soon!
