5 LEVELS of Playing Chords on the C Harmonica

5 levels of playing chords on the C harmonica. Contains a tutorial on how to play all 5 of them. For educational purposes I'm playing and explaining on a harmonica in the key of C, but all the riffs will work perfectly with every other key of blues harmonicas. The Train is a most popular 'chord song' ever, played by almost every beginner harmonica player in the world. And that's good, because i...

If I could speak any other language than English as well you speak English, I would feel very proud of myself. I love the way you pronounce har mon eca! Good video... no toys, just instruments. My 1st was a Suzuki Bluesmaster, thought maybe it was not that great , got a set of Special 20s, and found out the only thing special was the price. $35 more than the Special 20. Nothing wrong with the Bluesmaster at all. But I do tend to play the Specials (well, 'play' is an exaggeration, lol) more often than the Bluesmaster. Get a good har mon eca.... no toys indeed. Also got a very cheap set of Hohner Piedmonts...plastic toys, don't anyone ever buy those! Waste of $28

Why on earth is the Fender Blues Deluxe on the avoid list? It's one of the most highly recommended beginners harmonicas on the market, decently responsive, and easy to bend.

Thank you so much for this video! I've tried to learn with Hohner "Pocket Pal", and it was really hard to get any interesting sound from it.

I started with a Pocket Pal in 1997. It was leaky, unresponsive and nasty. It really fought against me. For a while I thought it was me. But the. I moved to Lee Oskar and realised it was the Pocket Pal. I still have it. O Eve every now and then I try it out. But it still sounds horrible!

My first harmonica was the classic Marine Band, awesome raspy sound, but short lifespan, my favourite harmonica yet, the Crossover, I'm going to try the susuki promaster, I really want a metal comb, but the meisterklasse is just too expensive, let's see!

You should add Lee Oskar to the list. Very good harp and quite cheap. Also for beginners best keys to get are: C and A Then after you play for a while get the: G, D, Bb and Low-F (or you can get a normal F but it's a bit too high for my taste) This 6 keys cover 80-90% of songs you'll ever play. But if you want to be ready for even more next ones to get are: Eb and Ab With this you are at 8 harps and you have 98% of the songs covered. The rest of the keys (Dd, F#, B and E) are really not needed if you are not a pro.

The video was the most entertaining, I must say. It might look funny to some but your conversation with your "RUclips brother" mentions important INFORMATION. The video is very unique than most others I have seen on RUclips. The subject you are covering is also very very important which no RUclipsr so far thought of. "Which Harmonica NOT to buy" with specially the 'not' in uppercase. It helps to avoid cheap but useless harmonicas and waste your money unnecessarily. By the way you speak good english. And I am interested to learn your first language. 😊 Please let me know the language. Thanks for your review. Cheers!

A big No No for me are the Johnson harmonicas. They are incredibly cheap and incredibly bad. Beware many stores try to sell them. Parents buy them for their children should be ashamed of themselves. The Suzuki Bluesmasters are a match for the Hohner Special 20 in my opinion. And if you like the Promaster you may like the Promaster Valved.
