Done is better than perfect am I right folks? 😬 I hope to get better at these more casual videos at some point, but for now I hope you at least enjoyed the Q&A. Also, apologies for the audio quality - I did the voice over for this video over a few days in different environments so the background noise and cuts are wack. @MarleneTheresa 's tag videos Why I Tarot 1 ruclips.net/video/1WWjEC7xGqs/в...
Hi Mia. I enjoyed watching your video. It’s so cool that you met a couple of the authors that you’re reading right now. How exciting. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the haptic tarot, but I am going to meet the creator of that deck this weekend and get a reading from him. He lives locally here in San Francisco, so I’m super excited! Regarding the cantigee Oracle, I am in love! I am doing The 52 week process that the author recommends, which has been amazing! Thanks for sharing!
LOVED this video! thanks for sharing - i had not seen the original, i'll definitely be heading over to watch! i love your choice in the lonely dreamer, funnily enough i thought i might pick it for my cat. he's such an interesting complex character, but i think he'd like the fluidity of it, and the colors. his name is rio (river in spanish) - we're very much alike in our emotionality and i love that aspect of the lonely dreamer. also i totally get all the things you start saying on camera that you don't usually say or are a little ick to say out loud haha happens to me all the time - it's such an interesting phenomena i think!
Omg I loved everything you said about your sister’s cat 😂 Yes, I think she’d love that deck ❤
She is truly The Worst and I love her 🤣
@@thirdthoughtstarot funny how these behaviors are forgivable if you’re a cat, I know 😂♥️
I loved this video so much! It even made me subscribe to your channel! looking forward to more of your content 🤩
Eeee! Drinking in the sensory experience of this video - what a beautiful set up. Also love your commentary - I literally made a noise out loud (half way between "mmmm!" and "hmmm!" 😆) when you picked the Lonely Dreamer Tarot for the second prompt. Such a perfect choice!
Smiled throughout this whole video. Also, your taste is amazing ^_^
Just seeing this! Can’t wait to watch the whole thing (hopefully tomorrow) ❤
Hi Mia. I think you did an excellent job at explaining why you chose each deck. And as a sidenote, you have the most wonderful infectious laugh. It’s one of my favorite parts about your videos. I love that you chose the Margarete Peterson for the “if I wanted to murder someone” question. It is definitely a deck that takes me out of my head and stops me from overthinking everything. And the poetry in the guidebook really centers me, but also pushes me into a spiritual place. I think the circle of doors tarot would also work really well for this question for the same reasons. And finally, I am currently doing the 52 week study of the Cantigee Oracle. I absolutely love it! Thanks for sharing!
This is such a lovely and thoughtful comment, thank you! I'm always worried I laugh a bit too much in my videos and it makes editing an absolute pain 😄. You're the absolute sweetest for being so encouraging. Oh I can totally see Circle of Doors having a kinship with the Margarete Peterson! Also I'm so happy to see all the love for the Cantigee - it deserves it! Thank you so much for being here. 🥰
I love your answer for a deck you'd pick for someone with a religious background. Spacious Tarot is so calming, and I miss seeing it on RUclips! I'd have to pick my Golden Tarot of the Renaissance for my ren fair deck. I bought it at a ren fair this past January, so I feel like it'd fit. 😊 Your pastel goth deck is PERFECT. Actually, I cannot imagine a more perfect deck for that prompt. Excellent explanation, too! Thanks for sharing!
Oh that is a perfect pick for the Ren Faire prompt! I love getting decks at the Ren Faire because it just adds such a special memory to the experience. And oh my gosh, I'm so glad someone else followed my logic on the pastel goth deck. 🤣 I thought it was going to be such a hard sell. Thank you so much for being here!
Love the history.
Thank you so much for being here! 🤗
Ooh, I didn't know that Pixie converted to Catholicism! The deck you chose for your sis' cat: 🤣Perhaps all cats secretly harbor twisted feelings toward hoomans lol. I think your selection for the pastel goth-themed party totally works! I personally like the art of your ugly-pretty deck 😍 Many thanks for doing a VR, Mia--I really enjoyed seeing all of your choices!
She did it "as a lark" which is very hilarious to me. She also kept house with her best "friend" and ran a vacation home for priests. Not at all what meets the eye. 😂 Thanks so much for watching my incredibly lengthy vr and for the awesome prompts! And yes the Cantigee is gorgeous, I'm glad you think so as well. 🥰
This is such joy ❤️💛🩷💚💜🧡💙
You are so sweet, thank you for being here!
Such a gorgeous deck!!is giving me happiness just looking at it❤🌈
The colors and expressions are delightful!
This deck is gorgeous!! First time seeing it! Really enjoyed your walkthrough and don’t worry, it’s not too long. 😊
This is the first time I’m seeing this deck, and I wanted a more bright rainbow vibe. When I saw the box and the backs of the cards, I was expecting this vibrant rainbow color palette, but it fell a bit flat for me. Obviously this is just my opinion. But this was a very nice walk-through. Thank you for sharing!
I totally understand - I have had experiences like that as well. Thank you for being here!
If you don't want to trim the borders, you can get an extra fine nail buffer block and slight smooth the edges ...then re gild the edges in black :) I need to use the Ravens prophecy more it's one of my favorites. I love Llewellyn's card stock. Very easy to shuffle
💙💙💙
Interesting deck. I usually don't navigate towards this color scheme, but if I did the gilded edged would be a no for me. Great walkthrough ! If I really like a deck I would buff it with a nail buffer. I did that for the relative tarot.
OMG I read the horseshoe spread as horseradish spread and thought that's weird....
Thanks for the mention! ☺️💕 I have been curious about the mass market version because of the guidebook, since the indie version didn’t come with one. I also like that they changed the french titles.. but the backs are much nicer on the indie 😅
I get excited when I see a new video from you! And this deck is absolutely stunning! I have never worked with playing cards in a divinatory sense, but this deck is inspiring me to start learning about that. I love how you laid out the face cards as a timeline progression. And like you said, I would love to sit down and have a conversation with them. I’d love to learn more about how to work with playing cards. If you have any suggestions about how I can start learning to read playing cards, please share that. BTW, I did not hear the washing machine or the lawnmower in this video. Lol.
I finally went back and watched your first video. And now I realize why I recognize your voice. From Inkyswordtarot! I have been thinking about starting my own channel for about a year, but for the exact reason you mentioned in this video, I have not done it yet. If my 3 children and other family members watch my videos, I will be super self-conscious and possibly allow it to dictate my content. Which I do not want to happen. I really want to leave a recorded legacy for my children, which is my main motivation for starting a channel. But I wanna be free to discuss who I am on a more spiritual and intimate level than my children are used to. To them, I am just Mom. Anyway, I’m rambling. So glad I found your new channel. LOVE the wee free men quote! Nice VR!
Hey, Mia! I just realized I followed you on your other channel. I had also subscribed to this one, but now have you on notifications so I don't miss anything you post 😅 I enjoyed listening to you talk about your Llewellyn decks. I chuckled when you spoke about not liking how speaking about being a mom/ pregnancy sounded & how kids are weird 😂 I cringe all the time when I record my videos but post them anyway 😂 Totally get escaping into a tarot deck! Raven's Prophecy has been on my list... I suspect I will feel the same way (wish I'd gotten it sooner) if I ever get it. Tarot of Vampyres...yes, so cheesy but sooo good! The 6 of Grails in that deck reminds me of Lily Depp, and the Fool is (to me) Brandon Lee in the original Crow film...😂 I feel the same, it is a surprisingly gentle deck, with an incredible guidebook. I appreciate how you described "emotive" decks as feeling the meaning before knowing what it is. Loved how you described Witch Sister as feminine rage... women who are mad and tired and done with everyone else's bs. 😊
How did I miss seeing this comment?! Thank you so much for such a thoughtful response, and for following me over here. I absolutely love your channel so this is a fangirl moment for me. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one that basically has this face 😬 from the beginning to the end of the video making process and yet…I still want to do it whenever I get a chance. 🤣 Oh those are great associations for the TOV! If you ever get the Raven’s Prophecy Tarot please tag me if you do a video! I’d love to hear your opinion on it. Honestly, this is making me want to try and use both the Raven’s Prophecy tarot and the Witch Sister in a combined reading. I might give that a go! Thank you so much for being here! 🖤
@@thirdthoughtstarot Wow, I am so glad you enjoy my channel! Raven's Prophecy and Witch Sister sound like an amazing combo. Would love to hear about it if you do! And, yes, I will be sure to let you know if I get Raven's Prophecy. I love corvids, so it is quite likely 😁🐦⬛🔥
I like when we work with decks for a while Glad it grew on you. ❤
Thanks for watching <3
New sub. The huge slurpy sip of tea in the beginning was my favorite part. Lol. For some reason, I have never seen the star seeker Oracle before, and I loved it! And I really like the way you described how the cards make you feel. I’m always looking for a deck that is a bit like a gut punch. Where you can’t look away. That’s definitely my kind of vibe. Looking forward to following your channel!
Haha! Thanks for being here! The art on the Star Seeker is really gorgeous. I think the creator is coming out with a new tarot as well in more of that style. I love watching their process.
The Urban Crow 100%! It's on my list if I do this tag. It's just so mean 😂
I'd love to see your take on this tag, and this deck! Thank you for watching!
The Urban Crow Oracle is one of my all time favs!! 🖤
Isn't it so good?! It's so mean and yet I keep coming back. 🥲
I’m glad you enjoyed mine, you’re too kind. I love this wee rabbit one, it’s so unique. I appreciate that they include the array of nature and their experience, not just the cute bits. Although it is super cute. Ooo the crow one is a mood. I’ve often toyed with this as I parted with the crow tarot because as a tarot, I wasn’t using it enough but I miss the crows energy. Thank you for joining in. I loved listening, you definitely pulled me into understanding the experience you have with them 🥰🖤
Oh also, I could totally do a round two haha. We should.
Thank you so much for creating the tag and watching! It felt super accessible even with low energy and little time, which I appreciate so much. And YES, I could definitely do a second round as well, I might even give my take on some of the oracles others mentioned like the Iris or the Earthbound. I love seeing the different ways people experience decks.
@@thirdthoughtstarot that’s great to hear. I definitely wanted it to be accessible. I agree, hearing more thoughts on the same deck is always intriguing to me 🥰
Enjoyed! TY
Thanks for watching ♥️🖤
Enjoyed this! First deck is on my list! Im always curious about the second I used to have the tarot and am considering the mini (which is more expensive than the normal?? lol). Is there a LoTR deck???
Thanks for watching! Yeah, it drives me bonkers when tinned decks go for more, but I guess I can see the materials costing more? It gives me weird feels though. The actual tarot has some cards that just feel off in terms of contrast and like...that fuzzy paint thing. I wonder if it would be less obvious on the mini.
@@thirdthoughtstarot i think it’s in a small box! Not a tin deck I think the mini takes away some detail which might do this deck some favors??
Oh and yeah! A couple of LOTR decks are out there - Candy has shown two I think, the vintage one and the Insight Editions one, and there is also one by FickesArt on etsy, a Middle Earth Arcana by BrooklynDraws, and another one I don't have by "HorakSmallWorkshop" on Etsy that I think Marine @wavesofyoursoul has shown.
@@thirdthoughtstarot oh wow!! I’ll have to look into and find the best one for me. Do you have a fav??
@RoseHoneyRitual Hm not quite yet? The Middle Earth majors is very story book but it's currently black and white and some people don't love that. But I enjoy the style and use it for big picture readings and more of a collector item. The Fickes Art one isn't my style art wise, but I love the choices (Legolas and Gimli in the Lovers 🥹). The insight edition one has really lovely art but I don't have that one or the other etsy one. I think Candy has also shown the Hobbit Tarot which is oop I think but is also charming!
Glad to have found your channel 🥰 I am also guilty of buying into the hype around ToV but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I love Julia Jeffrey's decks. I also put off Hidden Realm for a long time for similar reasons but it absolutely blew me away when I got it.
I'm glad too! Hidden Realm and Witch Sister are something magical aren't they!
Your hands are fine. Clean without claws
I am drooling over all of these 😍 Both of the Julia Jeffries decks are on my wishlist. The question is…which one do I get first?
Aren't they gorgeous?! I think some of the cards in the Witch Sister would just sing for you, and you really can't beat the crones represented in that deck. I'll send you pics of the guidebook for comparison!
@@thirdthoughtstarot I would love that!! My gut keeps telling me Witch Sister to be honest
Mia 💖 Finally got to watch 🥰 Can’t wait to see more from you!
Thank you so much Tara!
💓💓💓
Welcome back, Mia! We are all so fortunate that you are sharing videos again. Thank you for being so brave. 💛💛💛
Thank you kindly! I'm excited to get to all of my ideas! It's nice to be back.
Welcome back ♥️♥️ I adored this so much. I feel like I have done a vr but for the life of me I can’t find the video 😂
Thank you, Jess! I'm excited to do more! I think this hashtag is very similar to the vr to Anna and Lennan about spiritual practice so that might be what you're remembering.
