The context of the situation is totally missed as, you guessed it, the comment was made in a private conversation that the slimeball that took the screenshot happened to leave out his own contribution leading to it. He's entitled to think what he wants, he's never done anything outwardly discriminatory against trans so the vocal sheep are merely trying to fit in. The comment about mental illness, people are getting too emotional about it. Looking at it from a statistical point of view, it's a founded point. Look at the self harm and attempted "release" statistics. Speaks volumes. Policing people's private thoughts is a dangerous game. The community should be ashamed of its own behaviour

You can't expect people who staunchly consider trans people as a group undeserving of hate to turn a blind eye to this. Leaking private messages is scummy, I'll give you that, but the messages reflect Neil's true character, and even though they were leaked behind his back, you shouldn't say things that would make an already socially disadvantaged group of people feel extremely uncomfortable unless you're ready to deal with the consequences. Regarding transgenderism's similarities to mental illnesses: maybe there is a scientific backing for this kind of statement, I don't know. However, I would take suicide rates with a grain of salt: I'd be willing to bet that a large portion of those deaths result from systematic bullying on many forms of social media and in real life against trans people. No-one who adds to this anti-trans sentiment has my respect. Could you explain what you mean by "vocal sheep fitting in"?

Dude never said trans people didn’t deserve rights he had an opinion (albeit a very controversial one) and explicitly stated he would never go public with it and has never had issues in regards to how he treated trans people he interacted with he stated his opinion in private yet someone posted it to social media to spite him. I’ve watched Neal for years and he’s never had a negative thing to say about anyone even some trans players

Granted, he kept it to himself for the most part, but it doesn’t change the fact that people will now see him differently. With that being said, he could have partially redeemed himself by confronting this situation head on rather than running away, especially since he’s still somewhat young. He has room for growth.
