This is a weekend update as well as a second episode on the budget hemi swap. We got almost everything ordered for the budget jk, I also did a little update of the Hemi swapped WJ. Lots of wiring and a few other things are covered in the video.

I'm leaning towards a set of his 2.5 coils for the front of my Tacoma; is everything manufactured in the US, not just assembled here?
@@mortalmeerkat that's something you would have to ask him. He's super down to earth and would be Willing to talk to you about all of that.

@yotallin22re Yes, it was. My buddy and I did it all. It took roughly 3 years to get it to this point.

Sweet build. I’m also in Michigan building a WJ on tons. Is your rear tubed?
@chadshosten5769 sweet dude! Yes it is. I built the rear towers into the unibody and then we built some boxes over the top. If you check my instagram @mangett_modified I have a ton of stuff on there.
Would any of this be much different for a 2020 jl
I can't say for sure since I have not done a 6.4 swap in a jl. But I can imagine it's pretty similar.
Thanks for sharing most of your journey on the hemi swap. I bet you guys are going crazy with the stumble but hang in there. You give other people the idea and hope of doing it with out a shop
@jasonmccully1784 dude, I appreciate that. It's been one thing after another, and waiting on parts and money has delayed the process a ton. But we're making headway, and parts are ordered! I'll have something soon for everyone.
That's totally understandable. I got covid going on 4 years ago and started going blind so no driving since. So I completely get it.. my 16jk has been sitting in my garage.. I sit in it just to feel happy about the jeep still

@Mangett_Modified it's all good... it may have read sad, but really it Is okay. Things could be worse.. so I just enjoy things that I can.. won't lie. I miss driving.. I do admit I live vicariously in your videos and some others similar to yours. I have a big surgery coming up so maybe everything will be good after all that.. who knows.. until then I have fun with random people stopping and asking if mine is for sale... no Is my answer. Lol

What year truck 5.7 did you use in the silver JK?

@@Mangett_Modified awesome, thank you. My 3.6 in my 14 just took a dump, was going to do LS but it’s pretty pricy to get all factory functions to work so leaning towards hemi. Came across your videos and very informative to stay budget friendly!
@Bamabud95 dude I understand! Some aspects of the ls are great, but functionality making everything work like stock, hemi is the way to go. Check out jeep speed shop. They have full kits
@@Bamabud95 I came to the same conclusion. I would rather go with an LS but there is a lot more to swapping one in- engine adapter, wiring, separate adapter system to make cruise control work, and even more parts (and expenses) to get other systems working like factory. And I've seen too many swaps where the bugs never do get worked out. I'm going with a Hemi so everything will end up working like factory because the systems were designed to work together. Even the wiring can be a DIY job without needing a couple thousand dollar harness.
@@jimalton1564 for sure. I ended up buying a 2021 5.7 out of challenger. Also did the 8 speed as well, Haven’t finished the swap yet still waiting on some parts. I think it’s going to be well worth it once it’s finished.

Does locked suspension add lift or just a oem replacement i was told about 1/2 lift .
It is dependent on what you get and what vehicle it is for. Reach out to Riley on Instagram or call the shop. He is really easy to work with and will help you out.
It's happening we are regaining the power of the WJ's and so close to the 25year exemption period.
True testament of your fab skills that Jeep will definitely out wheel anything they decide to bring there it’s the WJs turn to be on the big screen.

Thats dope. And driving it around town? I cant even get my ranger to pass inspection because the exhaust exits in front of the rear tire and you got a sticker on this?
He drives it around, I'm not sure what the emission laws are in Florida

I bought a hellcat red eye with transmission. Just sitting in the garage trying to to figure out all the stuff I need for the swap
Thays going to be so sweet! I've got a challenger 6.4 in my grand cherokee. It rips, I can't imagine how a hellcat engine will be! The swap should be close to the same as the 6.4 swap were doing in the jk. You'll have to find out what harness and computer to go with. That may be your biggest hurdle
Looking forward to see how this goes. Plan on the same swap on jk next year!! Tine to start ordering parts😂

Insanely cool build, we have D. Till bumpers on our WJs and it is literally one of the things people like the most on our rigs. On another note, Ox lockers all day-every day, only problem you can have is smashing the cables on the rocks, no electronics no complications

this video has very little info for a JK swap. this video was mostly about a Grand Cherokee hemi swap. please label your videos correctly in the future. i appreciate your info/ content.

Completely stock 6.4l...500 hp in truck tune?....410 was factory rating so still stock or?
This is a challenger engine we're putting in, stock they are 485hp. When they tune the computer, they get rid of some of the things that limit hp. So we're guessing it'll be right around 500hp.
