Jesus! Nice fish! Nice boats!😂
Good ol’ days, with top blokes like Les Constantine and Bob Lowthe on the sharkat “where’s Clide” with the only outboards worth having Mercury 175’s.
RIP Uncle Neil, I spent school a holiday helping him build it, it was first introduction to anti seize😢
Hey mate, in the process of redoing this boat with my dad, wondering what speed and economy you get with the 225 on the back of it ? Cheers
@@EmbassyOfNeon hi mate, been very happy with the pro xs, I’ve done 500 hours now and average around 1.4 litres per km. Top speed 84 kmh. All the best with your project, cheers👍
Hello bro; you Oke Anton Madura from Indonesia So' I'm your Oke Jakarta Bali Surabaya So' How are you' apa kabar kamu Oke ya Good 😍🤫🙏✌️💪👍💞🌟🌎🇮🇩
Only wimps use electric for stripey fishing 😂
Love the orange 18 at the end such a good boat they are
The 2 strokes are crap get rid of them and put some decent engines on it
@@johnboy5167 this was filmed in 1991 at the time those engines were new and best available. This boat is still in operation today and is on at least it’s 5th set of engines
@@caseyspinks9810 👍
Lol
Top effort 👍
Plenty of tide there!
First thing diver did was light a smoke
Mmmm
A special place Casey, our family have had a shack at the heads since 1970. 55 years of loving the place for me ❤
You’re a lucky man mate, awesome place👍
One of their best hulls and rated highly by long range offshore fishermen 😊
Brilliant I shall make this at work thanks for sharing
Don't muck around with those Ford slimline bearings.. Replace both axles with Landcruiser hubs. Unfortunately, most boat ramps here in Tassie are well below the standard of our fellow mainland rec boaters. 80%of the ramps here, you will most likely encounter a situation where you need to full lock or virtually jack knife the trailer at some stage or another, resulting in immense pressure on the bearings. Our roads are more shitty too. Probably need a full axle, spring and caliper rebuild since the addition of the extension .. Nice fish, guys nailed it 👍
Casey~ho wr u?,Bravo. interesting view- take it easy, :))
Good! Thanks mate👍
Funny how there is a shift in us from mono hull to catamarans very similar to these
Gotta love the old 2 stroke dirty yamahas 😂
Great sound.
Artwork , shame there still use wood

Nice Video!
Not sure but highly likely
Are any of the crusader’s in this clip Casey .. Why Knot?
Hows it been after 2 years
No problems, love it. Not much good off road without mods but much more comfortable than the 200. Fuel use around 14.7 km litre average over 80,000km. Best I’ve seen is 10.7 on a long run👍
Great resto. Wanna sell it haha !
Thanks, but no. I love it 👍
Hi Casey, what was the layup of this?
Hi mate, not too sure, you’d have to ask my fibreglasser Paul, his number is at the end of the video👍
If ya we’re gunna ever see a tiger that’s the area 😞👍🙏
Do you have any more photo's or video of the mould? Would live to see how ypu did the chines, cheers!
Gday, don’t have any more photos sorry, we just folded some colorbond and zinc sheet up in several pieces same as keel and strakes and riveted together. Was nothing special and had some timber straight edges screwed under hull to ensure it was straight. Cheers
@casey who made the aluminium hardtop? Looks good
Hi Joe, thanks for the comment. I made the hardtop myself in alloy mate. Cheers
Hi
very impressive thinking doing my Bayliner 1802 like that.
How much fuel used fellas?
About 50 litres from memory, maybe a little less👍
Great job mate
me and my father and bloke called harry druet from eden dove where these blokes were in 82-83-85 good abalone back then!
I bought a DS Laramie the exact same as yours in 2019 and traded it a couple of months ago for a new DT Laramie. I done just over 50K KLMS in the 2.5 years I had it and never had any problems. I couldn’t be happier with my RAMs
Thanks for the video Casey. We were considering a DS for some time now and we just bought a DT, thanks to your video and others. Much appreciated! Thank you.👍
I bet u won't have it in 20y..
Murica 💪🏿
That's beautiful 😍
This is mint 👌
Gotta love the smoke from the two bangers on start up!.
Hello Mr. Spinks. In the USA it’s very hard to get land cruisers but very easy to get full size trucks. After a year or so, do you miss the LC? I am very interested in getting a LC and doing the Aussie thing (ARB bumpers, etc.)
Hi AA, no I don’t really miss the LC. The ram is much nicer to drive and for towing, also having the Uteback for me is better. Cheers
I am very interested in this tri hull design with the exposed channel directly in the pathway of the twin outboards. Seems like a possibility for increased performance
Absolute perfection. Well bloody done
Haha, RUclips recommended this video, we live in the same town, see you out on the water 👍🏼👍🏼 p.s, feel free to share your snapper spot 😂😂😂
The finish is top notch. Great work.
Almost turned her into the old Haines 243 mate, nice.
She's sitting low in the water, must be considerable weight in whats needed for the dry drive train.Gotta love people who have a go.
Hi William, yes you are correct it was way overweight with the big block 454 mounted on the deck driving a hyd pump for the wheels etc. Before the outboards were fitted, the original prototype had a large aircraft propeller fitted to the V8 for propulsion like the American “blow boats” used on the swamps. But this was a failure as well, not only was it unable to move the boat around easily, it was the most terrifying, dangerous machine to operate with straight through extractors and huge propeller just behind helm. But the owner had a dream and did their best to make it happen. By the way, this boat is still in operation today in conventional form and is used daily to commute to an island.
