I recommend trying to pull from the end cap connected to the cables to remove it from its slot, don’t pull from the wires. Might take a little bit if you’re being careful, but should be able to slowly remove it from its housing

I appreciate the kind words! I would recommend the clear plastic ones mainly because those are the only kinds I have lying around and have always worked great for me 😅 but I’ve seen others have success with the fiber ones, so don’t think you can go wrong with either

Ya mouse movements and micro adjustments are much smoother imo, especially if your current skates are pretty worn

Mine don’t, but I can see how they can if you maybe add to much band-aid and/or lube. It definitely takes some trial-and-error to get right, but I think a good rule of thumbs is “less is more”. I think it also may depend on the stabs themselves, I’ve seen others only apply some light lube and had no rattling, but I had some cheap stabs so maybe that’s why 😕

@@adxm.tataeto i tried doing this with the whole bandaid a few months ago because i dont have lube and it made them feel stiff and mushy at the same time so i was just wondering if the bandaids did that for you too. I think it was just the bandaids i was using that caused it

Oh I’ve never tried using just a band-aid without any lube. I think lube is a pretty important since that’s what allows the wire to move smoothly through the housing. Did you use a brown band-aid? If so, that probably has a more rough texture compared to a clear band-aid tape, which is smoother. Also, I don’t think I showed this in the video, but make sure the tape does not go past the wire end. Also, try only adding one rotation of tape. I think only 1 layer of tape should be sufficient in preventing the rattle.
