thanks I just got this for anniversary and picked up 2 more models online. I don't understand the activation die, I just roll d6 for each player and higher roll goes first. I've asked around and no one has given me a clear answer on how the activation works. Do i assume that if a player rolls a blank or one that none or one will only be able to move that turn. If the other player rolls a 2 that both of their models will move. That means that the other player picked cards, but now can't move at all, effectively their turn is "lost" and can't do anything, or at the least move only 1 model. But the other player can move 2 models, meaning that they can do anything without being attacked. Did I get that right? Following that logic, a player can roll a blank for multiple turns, keep picking cards yet not being able to do anything. Would you please be willing to explain the activation for me. Thanks

That is your crocket, not your guillotine. LOL :D a bit later you did call it the crocket, when you moved the timber wolf in to the three woods..then you thought it was the guilloyine AGAIN, and called it that. When you fired with it at the timber wolf and rolling a 10. doood!!!... If you forget which mechs are which, you will fire with the wrong mech, with diffrent weapons, speed and armor. Messing up the game. Oh well. It is ok because this is for fun and thats cool.

I see you like using houses Kurita and Marik are you gonna paint up some steiner possibly in the future to mix it up with those 2?

Either you are mispronouncing Kurita (koo-ree-tah) on purpose, or you really don't know how it's pronounced. Good video, but drove me crazy the entire time, lol

Fantastic game! I didn't spot any mistakes. It's wild how fast this gane can swing!

I love to watch BT battle reports, but this one was hard to watch, for one simple reason: Your camera is way too close. Like most of the time, the viewer can see a mech and and a 5 hex range around it. That makes it completely impossible to watch any kind of strategy or similar to unfold and to understand the overall situation. Add the constant camera shake, and you get the feeling of being forced to permanently watch through binoculars on ship during a storm. I don't think holding the camera in one hand, while doing stuff on the board with the other is ever going to work. (or needs way more practice to keep it stable) Getting some fixed camera mount overwatching the board should solve this issue. And if you want to show the mech cards in between, either bring them on the board (there is enough space, when doing those small scale skirmishes) or unmount the camera for that.

Time to change or Chuck the dice...

A couple of things I would do different: 1. If I had to fight the Kell Hounds I wouldnt, too much plot armor. Id rig a couple of rock pillars to look like mechs, tell the KH warriors that the Draconis Combime sent a couple of rooks to get blooded and were calling them out. And as they engaged them I would tip out the door. 2. I would have taken both mediums and dog-piled on the Thunderbolt, that way they would have stood a chance. I personally like the Locust but theres nothing on it that either medium mechs had to be afraid of. They could even easily weather a back shot or two from the Locust. Thunderbolt pilots represent!

Love the battletech content! Two things I wanted to ask what do you think about using d12s for the optional damage rule where you roll for each point of damage(ex. rolling 3 d12s for a dmg3 attack), and what do you think about using hex maps for alpha strike I hear the a.s. full rules book tells you how, but basically every hex counting as 2 inches on the board for measuring and movement?

Interesting batrep. Cool looking mechs. We use the alternate dice rolling rule - a d6 per point of damage. Takes some of the 'big damage or nothing' swing from those higher to hit shots. BTW, a shooter that jumps gains a +2 penalty to hit.

Kell hounds brought a crab. Thats a win on its own

Love this battle report. Love the rats. You should look at the volts infantry. Only a few more points and they get armor and charged. I always hate going against energyfields. Great game.

Interesting game, thanks for this! The Thunderbolt could've avoided a couple of rounds of damage by moving behind the opponent. Ive never played the starter rules, but the rear armour and critical hits add so much to the game!

Good game man, fun and fluffy, decent little round! Little tip, if you want to run Asterians with a little better results against heavy shooting like forge fathers, Stealth and Shield drones are super helpful! Cyphers are great units but they need smart play to work very well but their always very useful despite being made of glass! Wish we could play man I’d love to get a game in!
