I think everyone who heard Drama felt that this song deserved an instrumental version, although the two with vocals convey a beautiful message. Initially I intended to record just the solo, but I would be wasting a great opportunity
This is my first video testing Marty's plugins on Amplitube. The distortion sound was already excellent, but I tried adding an Auto Filter and it really made all the difference (even though I don't know how to configure it that well yet 🤷♂️). I believe this is the most difficult song in Drama. Mirage works like a giant Marty's solo, and the paths he takes are very interesting to listen to. The entire construction of the final solo is impressive, what was even funnier was knowing that it all came from an improvisation with the drummer... This song is very reminiscent of the style of Dragon's Kiss, starting with the guitar tones chosen.

One of Marty's greatest classics now in its "definitive version" and with an impeccable new arpeggios section. At the climax of the song (another first for us), I decided to improvise a solo and I actually liked the result. The only thing he's missing is a Maxon AF9 like Marty's 😅

For me, this is one of the most beautiful songs of Marty's entire career. The way it evolves and delivers several different scenarios to us is splendid; in fact Marty has developed this concept very well not only in this song, but throughout the album This theme somehow reminds me of Jason Becker, it would be a perfect piece for a brutal solo by him 🙁

I loved this song, the way it was written makes me think it's a sequel to Miracle (apart from the title). I'm really looking forward to this new album Drama! I got some better equipment for recording (I believe you could see the improvement) but I still need to change these pickups. This song has some parts that require good sustain and my [amateur] guitar doesn't allow it 😶

I wrote the piano score for this song in 2018 and I still remember the work I had to do to make it faithful to Marty's arrangement. I left the guitar with distortion to make a parallel with Marty's version of Ai Sansan, where there was only a piano, a violin, and the distorted guitar. I think it was a good deconstruction.

Another from Tokyo Jukebox 3. I find the solos very difficult to play, especially the final solo (from 3:58 onwards). If a jazz musician played exactly those same notes with a clean guitar wouldn't be as good as Marty putting them on this metal solo.

Muchas gracias! Volviendo a ver el vídeo, definitivamente cambiaría el tono del principio, lo haría completamente limpio, y añadiría más distorsión a los solos para tener más sustain. Estaba aprendiendo a usar Amplitube 5 cuando grabé el vídeo, no tiene nada de especial... Sólo usé los amplificadores/pedales gratuitos. El timbre de mis vídeos más recientes es mucho mejor
Pues parece que ha salido un tono único propio de Marty. Quizás un poco de sustain hubiese sido mejor pero yo no le añadiría nada mas. Por otro lado, si le poner mas distorsión creo que se ensuciaría el sonido. Crees que puedes decirme cada uno de los amplificadores y pedales que utilizaste ?

Valeu pelo apoio, mano. Uso os plugins gratuitos do amplitube. Passei um tempão pra 'fazer' esses timbres, pelo menos pra mim estão até soando bem mas eu definitivamente não manjo muito disso. Inclusive, no próprio app tem um monte de pedais e até uns presets inspirados no som do Marty, mas não dá pra usar gratuitamente ... Eles adicionam um chiado proposital na gravação pra não deixar a gente usar
